It definitely depends on you - if you're someone who will get really upset by daily fluctuations, then once a week is probably best.
I weigh in every day, just because I can't help it! Honestly, I weigh at least 10 times a day, which is wayyy excessive, but like OhMyDogs, I have no scale willpower! My original plan was to weigh daily at first, and once I got on a eating/exercise plan that worked, I would switch to weekly. But daily weighing has made me more accountable, I think.
I used to weigh myself 3x daily, lmao. Now once a day is really working for me. I fluctuate grandly so I can see where only once a weekly could leave me disturbed and likely frustrated. Once Daily I recognize what foods I eat that could cause me to bloat-water retain etc. GL in YOUR choice!
I think it truly depends on your personality. I attribute a big part of my success to NOT weighing in at all for first 72 days of my plan and only once a month since. It was important to me to follow my plan, not react to the scale.

It really depends on the individual. I weigh in daily for 2 major reasons.
1. If I don't do it daily and try weekly instead then I am the type of person to forget a week and let that turn to 2 and then it's months and things go badly from there.
2. If I weigh myself daily then I know I don't do my only weigh in for the week on a bad day.
I do have 1 day that is official, currently Tuesday, for my body bugg. I count that weight even if it is a bad day, but at least I will know that it was just a bad day.
I also find that daily weigh in's help me. I also know that I weigh in daily with the knowledge that the number will fluctuate. It can change greatly from day to day depending on a lot of different causes and I also think that it will help to see patterns and get to know more about how my body works in conjunction with how I am eating and working out. It keeps me accountable.
I have my weekly 'official' weigh in that i use for my tickers and for the challenges I'm in, but I tend to weigh every day or two or more depending on when the mood strikes. sometimes I'll go the whole week without weighing in and sometimes i'll weigh in more then once in a day
I weigh daily because if I weighed once a week, I'd build up crazy expectations and be disappointed. This way I can see the overall trend. I keep an excel spreadsheet that tracks my 7 day average, so even if I bounce up for a day or two, I can see that the overall trend is down.
Me too. Surely I worked hard enough this week to drop 9 pounds, right?
I like to weigh in daily. I can't do it once a week because not seeing the scale for a week makes me think that I can overeat since I'll have time to work it off before my next weight in. Not good.
I also like to weigh everyday. I may be a little obsessed but I love to watch and journal my daily weight. I set small ten pound goals and the closer and closer I get the more excited I get. I work out to jillian michaels. Im doing jumping jacks Saying Bikini, Bikini!!!
It's such an individual thing. For my first 60 or so pounds, I was weighing monthly. That worked really well for me with so much to lose, it was nice to see a pretty substantial loss every time I got on the scale. Now I've moved to weekly so I can get a good idea if things need to be tweaked as I go. I don't think I could ever be happy with weighing daily on the way down, too much of a head game! But maybe once I'm closer to maintenance it won't bother me as much. Only YOU can figure out what works for you, so do some experimenting!
I weigh everyday, a few times a day. I wish I didn't have to, but it also allows me to see the fluctuations throughout the day and week. So if I haven't lost a lot of weight for my weekly weigh, I don't get too discouraged because I might just be on an up fluctuation
I weigh daily. It's just built into my routine. I get up, pee, strip down to my underwear, and weigh. I also like to weigh after working out before eating dinner to see where I am.
I weigh daily also. I posted a piece of paper on the inside of my bathroom cabinet with the days of the week on it. Every morning I pee, get on the scale and write down the weight. It helps me to see where I am at. I also do Weight Watchers, but I weigh in on Monday evenings, and I always weigh more at night than in the morning. So, it just makes me feel a bit better about where I am at.
I have in the past weighed myself daily but I found it to be a bad thing for me. I now am weighing in weekly. I think it depends on your personality what works best.
