Well, I had a tiny bouce up to 243.2 today. Which is interesting, because I think it's from getting too few calories yesterday. This getting to know my body and how it works has been a curious adventure, lol.
dcapulet - Ha, we're exact twins for the day!
CherryPie - Congrats! Can't wait to say the same. See you in the other thread soon, I hope!
Halo - That's a nice woosh, great job!
Bunti - Thank you, and I know...looking forward to us all to joining Cherry soon.

Bad bad day. Not even gonna post my weight, I refuse to accept it. I think it's salt and TOM, an evil combo. Anyway, extra water tomorrow and NO SALTY STUFF. I need to make a poster that says that since I'm still good as far as calories go. On the positive side, I found a new favorite snack, red peppers with spinach and artichoke humus. So good.
Salty stuff got me yesterday too Tori. Slight bounce today. Need to go back to weekly weighing, lol. But I could feel the water I am retaining today.
Still OP, this will work, I know.
Yeah, I knew that weight was not true. Still up a little, but lost 3.2 pounds of the 4 that I gained. That up and down is pure water but I still hate it.
Thanks bunti and opehlia! Ophelia, I always wanted a twin, so nice that it's you!
We 2 weeks left in march, it would be sooo nice to start of april in the 230's! So what I am doing this week to get there?
1. Planned exercised - 60 min at least 5 days
2. Weight training at the gym
3. Eating all those new yummy fruits and veggies I bought
4. Watching that sodium! (a killer for me)
5. Having protein shakes when I am so hungry but have already eaten
Weigh-in was 242.4 today, even after a yummy - but somewhat carb-ridden - homecooked meal last night. Went to a buffet-style restaurant tonight, so I'm hoping I didn't hurt myself too much with that. I still sampled my favorites that I no longer cook at home, but I kept them sample-sized, literally, and I made sure to eat some salad and fresh fruit first to help fill up the stomach a bit before indulging. I think I did okay, considering where I was. Plus, I got to get a taste of a couple of my old comfort foods, so it was a nice treat. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that any heinous amounts of sodium I may have gotten don't derail me too much by morning.
dcapulet - That's my goal, too...I would like to be solidly in the 230s by April. Here's to both of us getting these next few pounds to come off before then!
Bunti - Increasing my water has been a godsend, so I know what you mean. Not sure how I ever lost much weight without it in any real way before. I even carry around a water bottle with me when I leave the house now. Such a change from before I came to 3FC, lol.
Quick flyby today ladies. Still on plan, but too darn busy to get my exercise in, at least as much as I like. Guess I will have to choose between sleep and exercise, darn it. Or exercise before bed??? Any ideas??
I'm back to confess that I had two bad weeks! The first week, I ate right and exercised, but the scale didn't move. It frustrated me, of course. Then last week, I was out of town and trying to help someone get their house in shape. Lots of stress, lots of sodium, not enough water, and (by the end of the week) eating out with abandon.
My weight made it back up to 247 briefly, but is at 245.4 today. I'm disappointed that I won't be in the 230's in time for my birthday tomorrow, but at least now that I am home, I'm back to eating better. Think marathon, right?
Quick update to say that I came in at 241.0 this morning, which is a -1.4 loss. Surprising to say the least. Feeling a little dehydrated though, so that may be part of it. We shall see tomorrow, but - for now - I will take it. Getting so close, I don't want to get stalled up now!
Bunti - I've heard from many sources that exercising right before bed is bad for you, because it will energize you and make it hard to fall or stay asleep. That being said however, the only time I have for my own workouts is in the evening, as well. So, what I've been doing is trying to work it in at least an hour or two before I plan on going to bed, and it hasn't been causing any issues that way. Then again, I have insomnia anyways, which is why I try to be careful not to exacerbate it too much, but I haven't noticed any increased difficulty since working out on that schedule. Or maybe what you can do, instead of one big workout at night, maybe try incorporating shorter, more manageable, and easy to fit in exercises at intervals throughout the day? There are some good resources online for exercises that aren't too awkward to do, even while at work or running about tackling errands all day. Good luck!
Unbelieveable - As long as you're back on track and ready to make your better choices, I forsee no issues for you getting any weight or toxicity back off and out of your body. Just pick it right back up, and welcome back! Also, happy early birthday!
