I really liked the challenge that Matt H posted last year so I thought I'd continue it.

Welcome to the 2011 weight loss challenge!

Basically, you "sign up" by making a post here with placeholders for each month of the year, such as this (or you can tailor the dates to the day of the week that you weigh-in):

January 1st (starting weight):

May 1st -

August 1st -
September 1st -
October 1st -
November 1st -
December 1st -
December 31st -
TOTAL FOR THE YEAR! -

Each month, you can "edit" your post here and fill in the total loss for that month. At the end of the year, please sum the total amount of weight you have lost. Early next year I will tally all of the losses and post how much weight we have collectively lost. Lets rock 2011!!!

Feel free to sign up at any point during the year.

I liked it too. This year I have a goal of about 18 pounds. So I won't add much to the total. But it's still pounds I'd like to get off.

I'm in! I hope/expect to hit goal in 2011, so I'll aim to lose 23lbs and then switch my goal to maintaining for the rest of the year.

January 1st (starting weight): 171.8 ~ Totally "false" starting weight, between too much sodium and TTOM approaching, but it is what it is.

I think I'm going to track body fat % as well as weight. I'm starting the year around 11% body fat and ~180 pounds. I'd like to be in the 170s but with 6-8% body fat.
