Love -- I normally weigh in a t shirt and underwear...if I'm wearing bottoms I take them off, they are too heavy!
Kukkie -- My aunt's place is not too far, we are in Brampton and she is in Mississauga. I did LA weight loss a few years ago too! lol. My COD (Centre of Doom) was in Brampton on Bovaird. Were you with the Woodbridge one? Gotta love the local talk
Star -- I love cooking too! Sometimes I spend a few hours on Sundays making things up for the week. Ie/ a huge package of extra lean ground beef becomes, meatballs, hamburgers, meatloaf and seasoned meat for taco salad. That's 4 dinners that just have to be assembled. The crockpot is your friend...put things in it, healthy things, come back later and they will be delicious.
I invited a good friend to join 3FC and this group. She's trying to lose some weight while on her maternity leave, so she can be super hot when she returns to work. I hope she comes!
Good morning you lovely supportive people. It is such a pleasure to read all the great things you have to say. Together October is going to be awesome - I feel 10lbs coming off......!
Although up 0.4 from yesterday Seems the whoosh is always followed by a gain. I've charted it all now, and I can see a pattern.
Have a lovely sunday
x
I'm down .4 this morning. I'll take it, and give credit to the cardio I did yesterday morning. I'm all heady with my carbs. This mornings breakfast was a low carb tortilla topped with an oz of cheese, 2oz of extra lean ground beef that I'd made into hamburgers the other day, and a tablespoon of tomato sauce. For my DS I made waffles and bacon *drool*. He ate his breafast, then had a bite of mine and asked for one of what I had!
Starbrite -- Sounds like you have a plan! Why do whooshes always have to be followed by a gain? It's one of life's inequities.
Had a 2 lb gain over yesterday but think it's due to TOM. Since I've not weighed daily so far, I have no idea how TOM affects my weight, but it's not looking good . I've been drinking a LOT of water the past couple days, so I'm wondering if that's part of it too .
I'm just trying to stay positive and stick with the plan, even if it's easy to get frustrated when things don't move as fast as you want them to. Also, my new scale I bought for the start of my journey on here is clocking in me in at 18 lbs more (!!!) than my old scale, so I'm seeing all the numbers again I thought I had left behind already .
Oh well, my new mantra is: It's a marathon, not a sprint!
cincimini Everyone gains differently during TTOM. I used to easily gain 5-10 pounds during TTOM. Now I gain a few pounds. Definitely stay positive! Sorry about the new scale weighing you heavier. That's frustrating. Just look at it like a new start.
Was a bit discouraged yesterday, but I didn't let that stop me from eating on plan! Today is my birthday party (my mother and I share a birthday on the 4th) and we're having whole wheat pasta with garlic and oil with lots of salad. My sister is making vegan pumpkin spice cake with "cream cheese" frosting.. should be great!
Oh well, my new mantra is: It's a marathon, not a sprint!
Love it :-)
Scales drive me nuts, so instead of focusing on the negative I try to focus on the positive behaviors and the gift of health I'm giving myself We can do it chickie!!
Totally right - and thanks for the support .
The good we're doing will eventually pay off, even if it's not today or tomorrow. So, on I march!
But it's so helpful to read that other people are going through the same frustrations - nice to know I'm not going mental .

I am actually. The new scale coincided with my joining here, so that really was the start of Mission Neg. 100 :-) . I probably have lost about 8-10 before coming here, so I'm just happy I had those off already. Otherwise the read would have been really crushing.
Lots to do today! But I'm down 1.5 from yday to 195.1 which is only up 0.1 from where I started the month.
Angie I actually live in Mississauga until I got married and then moved to Maple after that, so I was at the Meadowvale centre. I hate Maple! Hubby grew up over here and I'm a "west-end" girl so I'm trying to compromise and convince him to move to the Vaughan/Brampton borderline... It's not going so well!
