Change of perception.
Yesterday I was about to go out for a decent walk, when the constabulary arrived for a chat. It was too late, really, by the time they left.
Oh well, I thought. I'll just nip down to the supermarket - need dog food and something for me.
Today I went shopping with a friend ( no comment on the 32.2lbs lost but hey), went and did some work although it's my day off but hey, took one of the oldie dogs for a little stroll.
Then I thought, I'll just nip down to the supermarket for something to eat.
Both days it hit me with a thud: this nipping down is a 30 minute round-trip walk. Until the end of May, it was something I had to do (or not eat at all) but did as little as possible. From the end of May until this week, it was a must-do exercise; one that got more bearable but still a chore. Suddenly, it was just 'nipping down the shops', something matter-of-fact and easy ~me, taking half hour walks as a matter of course?! Wow.
