Change of perception.
Yesterday I was about to go out for a decent walk, when the constabulary arrived for a chat. It was too late, really, by the time they left.
Oh well, I thought. I'll just nip down to the supermarket - need dog food and something for me. Today I went shopping with a friend ( no comment on the 32.2lbs lost but hey), went and did some work although it's my day off but hey, took one of the oldie dogs for a little stroll. Then I thought, I'll just nip down to the supermarket for something to eat. Both days it hit me with a thud: this nipping down is a 30 minute round-trip walk. Until the end of May, it was something I had to do (or not eat at all) but did as little as possible. From the end of May until this week, it was a must-do exercise; one that got more bearable but still a chore. Suddenly, it was just 'nipping down the shops', something matter-of-fact and easy ~me, taking half hour walks as a matter of course?! Wow. |
Good for you! That's so awesome that you have incorporated that exercise into your day-to-day life, it's a great example of changing your habits for a healthier lifestyle!

That's fabulous! Congratulations!

Very well done! I know how you feel. I use to take my car to tesco's, which is about 10 minutes away by foot...
Me and a friend walked home from the train station the other day, and she couldn't stop telling me how far away I live from the station - It was a great feeling not to feel the same way she does. I actually feel as if the station is 'walking' distance nowadays (about a mile from my house), where I use to think, a month ago, that it was SO far away. I've been following your posts since forever - you are a great inspiration! |
Fab-u-luss!!!
