YAY ME!!!! Sure, most of it was water weight, but still... I'm not shy about claiming my first minor victory.

I hope the next 100 fall off as easily!

Congratulations from one Robin to another!

You will see, in some ways this actually get EASIER. That's right - easier. These good eating habits will become ingrained in you. They will be much more automatic. Just part of what you do. Another day at the office. You'll learn which foods work for you - and which ones don't. You'll be more accustomed to meal planning, preparing, taking foods with you. You'll learn better how to tell yourself no. Your tastes will change. Your desire for certain foods will die down. You will look forward to healthy foods. You'll discover healthy, delicious recipes. You'll find coping skills and techniques to get you through all situations - stress, boredom, holidays, anger, happiness, social functions, etc. The rewards will become more apparent and greater and greater as the sacrifices won't seem that much anymore.

There are wonderful things ahead for you. Just over the top incredulous!! I look forward to hearing of your continued progress.

Thanks so much for the encouragement! I love to cook and create my own recipes, so this will be an exciting challenge in that respect too. I get to learn an entirely new way of approaching cooking! My biggest concern is "palate fatigue", especially at first when my diet is especially limited and I haven't mastered the parameters yet. I did come up with an awesome leek/onion sauce that I made to go on steamed trout (red fleshed Kamloops trout that we caught last month, tastes a lot like Sockeye salmon) and tonight I discovered that it is just as awesome on chicken breast, broccoli and asparagus. Once I have finished tweaking the recipe I will share it here if that sort of thing is encouraged.
