Default BodyBugg

Has anyone heard or used the BodyBugg. My cousin was in from Iowa and she was wearing one and wondered if anyone else has used this weight loo device either...

No I have not. But it seems rather expensive to me, $200-$300 depending on what you get. I know that Jillian Michaels gives them to the people on her show, Losing it with Jillian.

I sure can't afford one but utilizing the search function, I found several threads about them. Here's a few

I bought one months ago, it was almost $300. First, I could not get the body bugg arm band to sync up with the digital wrist display, I called tech support and they walked me through the steps (which I had already done) several times, still no luck. So, I had to send it back and they send me a whole new set, well same thing happened. So, I sent it back and got a new one, well SAME THING HAPPENED! I gave up on it because I was sooooo frustrated, my 3rd bodybugg is on the top shelf of my closet. Keep in mind, you don't have to have the armband synced up with the wrist display, but I think for one if I pay for it, it should work and two, if you don't have the display working you have to plug the bodybugg into your computer before you can see your results. I HATED MY EXPERIENCE WITH BODYBUGG!! In my opinion, it is a waste of money. I hope this helps!

Thanks everyone . That was my thinking too I could use that money somewhere else . I can do almost the same thing with out the hefty price. Glad I asked the question..

I absolutely LOVE my body bugg. I have lost 52 lbs while wearing it. I now have my diabetes under full control and no longer have to go to a diabetes specialist. I am awware of what I eat and move more. as a result, the neuroapathy is leaving my feet and getting better.

I would advise anyone and everyone who is serious about their health to invest in one.

I found mine on ebay for about 100 bucks. (it is the older version, but works fine)

I really liked mine. I am a real numbers person and it was so cool to am for a certain deficit every day. But as time went on I grew tired of wearing it. And truth be told, I am so heavy right now, as long as I keep my cals in check, I lose, so I don't need it. But I am keeping it because when I get under 200 and the loss slows down, I will use it to keep things moving along.

I never had any trouble syncing armband and my wristwatch.

LOVE IT! I can't imagine how I would have been doing this without the information it gives me. I actually have the GoWearFit, which is the same as the BodyBugg, made by the same company. The bodybugg brand is marketed by 24hour fitness, which is why you see The Biggest Loser contestants with them. I had lost about 48 pounds when I bought mine and have lost another 60 since I got it. The one thing people must understand is it is only as useful as you are honest with it. You have to input everything you eat so it can accurately tell you how much actual calorie burn you have. It automtically records all my daily activity and let's me know the actual calorie burn I am getting vs what machines might tell you like treadmills. I have actually bought 2. My first one went for a trip through the washing machine, and I tried to go without it, but couldn't stand not knowing my stats, so I got a 2nd one on ebay for only $139. I do not have the watch display that syncs with the armband as I heard it was difficult to use if you have a cell phone that can interfere with it, so I can't speak to that. If you want to know anything else about it, let me know I will be glad to share.

Isn't there some sort of monthly charge associated with it too, aside from the purchase price?

I love my GoWearFit (same as Body Bugg). I bought it at Costco about a month ago. It was about $230 and came with a 12-month subscription with the armband. I don't want the wrist band as I easily download info each day. I LOVE mine~! I never knew how many calories I burned in a day. This was incredibly interesting as I now know how much I can eat and still lose 2 lbs. a week. I highly recommend one!

Another love it here. I've had my GWF since October 2009 and love it. I do wear the wrist band - so I can keep track as the day goes on. It motivates me to move more. It also helps me identify those times when I feel like I am hungry, that I need to eat . . . but the numbers say otherwise.

I love mine, too! It is very eye opening to see how slow my metabolism is and why I need to work out. Also, I like seeing the quality of my sleep.

i love my bodybugg too! i wear it with the digital display. It is supposedly very accurate but the amount I should be losing based on the calorie deficit is always way off. At first, this caused me to stop losing because I saw Wow! I burned 4000 calories today? Guess I can eat more! But now I've learned to focus less on the calorie deficit and use it more as motivation to burn more. I set daily caloric burn goals and if, at the end of the day, I havent met them I just hop on the treadmill until I do!
