I had something weird happen to me. I never, ever lose weight during TTOM. I always gain to a point, then maintain for a few days, then lose the water weight. I lost this morning! I better mark this down on the calendar! There again, life as we know it may be coming to an end. So if I wake up tomorrow, 2 pounds heavier, hopefully I won't freak out. I have no clue as to how this happened.
Pure awesomeness! Great job!

Yesterday, I spent all day feeling sore and chasing after a hyperactive 9 month old. Did great on my diet. Had to measure out and bake only 2 servings of a cake for hubby and I so I wouldn't over do it and go over my calories. Pretty cool, though... only took 15 minutes to bake! But somehow, it still got to me, gained two pounds. UGH!

1. ---
2. ---
3. 268
4. 265
5. 267 So much for those 3 pounds huh?

Thanks! The gain could be a result of your being sore. Alot of times when you are sore, you are also retaining water in your muscles. Great job on baking the small batches. I do the same thing. I have cookie dough in the freezer. When I bake cookies, I bake 2 for each of us. If I were to bake a dozen, we would eat a dozen.

Down 1.2 this morning to 246.6!!!! That's the lowest I remember weighing in the last 4 years, so I'm pretty happy today! Gotta love post-TOM whooshies! I'm sure it was the nothing but baked chicken and veggies yesterday and lots and LOTS of walking!

Baking is kind of my thing... I once made a full time job out of it for like 3-4 months. The only problem was everybody kept ordering the same thing (nobody else sold it) and I got burnt out making the same thing hours on end every day lol... I LOVE baking... whether it's bread, cake, cookies, pies, bars, muffins, cupcakes, tortes, biscotti... mmmm... i hate dieting... lol

Hi Everyone! Today it's back to work for me. Only 4 more days until the weekend, again! Woo Hoo!

We ate authentic Thai food last night. I was concerned about sodium, but the food didn't taste salty, etc. I love fresh basil spring rolls with peanut sauce.

Calories for yesterday: 1700

Weigh In: 213.4 (Same as yesterday)

down .2 to 164.8. It might be a bit more, but I did have a small bit of hubby's popcorn when we were at the movies - salty!

Hi friends.

Let me tell you a story. Does anyone remember the massive blackout that happened across the Eastern seaboard a few years back? I thought we had one of those again yesterday. I left work to go to the gym as planned and it's only 15 minutes from my office. I got in the car and put on my favourite radio station, but it wasn't working and I couldn't figure out for the life of me why. So whatever, I drove along my merry way, took me almost 35 minutes to get there because traffic was sooo backed up. And the closer I got to the gym, the more I realized why! The traffic lights weren't working!!! Now, normally when this happens, you treat the intersection like a 4-way stop, but did people do that? God forbid, they try to act like logical thinking people, it was complete chaos. Anyway, I finally pull into the parking lot of the gym, which is on the upper level of a grocery store, and I couldn't help wondering why the parking lot was so empty, a few cars scattered here and there. As I walk up to the entrance, the buggy boy comes up to me, sorry ma'am the store is temporarily closed due to a power failure! Bahhhh... I was so irritated, and it's so blasted hot here in Toronto. At no point, did anything click into my head, because I was so cranky and just looking forward to beating it out at the gym, that the power wasn't working anywhere. It turns out a transformer near one of the subway stations exploded causing pockets of blackouts in and around the GTA. So I leave, weaving my way through this traffic nightmare to get on the highway, which by the time I usually leave the gym is smooth sailing, but of course it was in the thick of rush hour. So another hour to make it home. I was supremely irritated and could only pray that we weren't affected by this power failure. Thank god the AC was working when I got home. The whole point of this sad rant (thanking you for letting me go on, if you've read up to here, then bless you) was that I missed my workout, which obviously bothered me since I finally changed my workout days so I could get an extra day in. Oh well....

After all this crap, I woke up this morning to a pleasant surprise, I'm down a whole lb, to 198.5. Hallelujah!

Coondocks - congrats on the milestone 60. You rock!
