Default Progress pics - be honest.....

OK- I know it is only 22 pounds (20 "officially") but can you tell? Be honest. I have only had one person notice- yesterday my mom's friend said, "turn around" and then told me I had lost weight. This particular friend of my mom's had weight loss surgery a few years ago by the way. She pays attention more than others I guess! My husband hasn't said a word. My uncle said something but I don't think it is because he really noticed, only because he had been told I lost weight. I know I have because I see the scale and feel the clothes.....but can you guys tell? I guess I am fishing for reassurance!!

The first one is at 258, the second was at 240 and the third was yesterday and the scale read 236.

Well let me just tell you that I can definitely tell! You look great!

Don't worry about the men, they will catch up. I was about 50 or so pounds in when people felt the need to say something.

Keep it up!

I can definitely see a difference between the first pic and the last. I think it is harder for people who see us(people loosing weight) everyday to notice the major difference between where we started and where we are now. Sometimes we don't even see the difference in ourselves; the pictures really help with that.

Yes, I can tell. And, I must say, I was surprised because I didn't think that 22 pounds would show up as much as they do. Your neck, shoulders and chest area look noticeably smaller. Don't worry about your husband not noticing yet. In my experience with mine, he is somewhat unobservant unless I point something out to him.

Yes there is a definite visible difference in your stomach. I think people who see you everyday find it harder to see the differences, heck I even have a hard time seeing changes in myself. However I know when I go away from people then see them after a fair amount of time i usually notice differences, be it weight, hair, etc.

I must tell you, I too was surprised to see a difference - but I do. Really, I do.

I know you are anxious. I know compliments are GREAT, reassurance is great - but please, please, please - focus on the good eating behaviors. Get this new healthy lifestyle down pat. Make it your own. Customize your plan. Find strategies to get you through ALL situations. Focus on those behaviors - and everything else will follow.

That is a BIG difference! Wow, really. Very noticeable! Don't feel bad... my husband didn't notice til I dropped over FIFTY pounds. And other people JUST started commenting and I am down 79 pounds now. Sometimes people don't say anything in case we gain it back. You look awesome!

Yes, there is a difference particularly the area between the chest and stomach. Sometimes people don't notice or are afraid to say something. Sometimes people say strange thing that make you wish they would have been afraid to say something - lol. Compliments are nice but unpredictible. Sometimes I like to focus on how I'm feeling since eating better, how clothes fit, improved lab results, etc. too. This changes our lives in so many ways.

Thanks ladies. I knew if anyone could REALLY tell a difference it would be someone here!!! Thanks for the reassurance I was looking for.

Robin, I am definitely taking it a day at a time and figuring out what works and don't works. I figure with only 8 weeks in I still have a lot to learn and experiment with.

Judy Lynn- Bless you for saying it looks like more!! xoxox LOL

Oh, my 14 yo son is my big supporter at home, but he also hadn't said a word and each time I have updated him on my loss he just says, "That's great Mom!" So, I just now said to him, "You see me everyday so you don't really notice my weight loss, but look at these pictures." His reaction, "Dang Mom!! You really have lost some weight." LOL
