Default What changes are you noticing about your body these days?

I thought this would be a good thread for newbies here to take a look at - those of you just starting can look and see what kinds of things you can expect at what point in your weight loss journey!

So, I want the good, the bad, and the ugly ! How much have you lost and what are you noticing that you're enjoying, or even hating.

I'm 65 lbs down, and my muffin top has shrunk! It's still there, but it's definitely flattening out a bit. And guess what? In the last few weeks, I've discovered that I do have hip bones! It's nice, but it hurts to lay on my side on anything firm. Also, I have bicep muscles! I can't really see them yet, but I can feel them under the arm fat! Speaking of arm fat. . .I'm getting bat wings. I do not like that! The skin is really starting to hang under my arms - I'm hoping it will shrink up a bit. I'm also noticing a little sagginskin around my knees, and I'm not thrilled with that either.

Mostly, though, I'm feeling stronger. I can run up the stairs! I can lift laundry baskets! I can get on and off the toilet without feeling like I'm going to get stuck there! It's awesome, and I wouldn't trade it for anything

1.) My chest is deflated....like a balloon! And I'm ok with that!!

2.) Forget biceps, I have triceps!

3.) Yesterday I sat on a toilet at the gym, and instead of thinking, "Gosh I must be fat" my mind first went to, "Dang, they stuck that trash can awfully close to my rear end!" In other words, I fit comfortably into all stalls, and some idiot thought a great place to stick a trash can was right next to the toilet on the wall, hugging every woman's hip, I don't care how tiny she is. But my mind realized that instead of blaming it on my fat!
Long term goal: To still be calorie counting 11/9/2010

noticing that my "upper" stomach is shrinking considerably
that my BOOBS stick out farther than my tummy!!!

Since my plateau these are the two things I have noticed.
On my own personal journey I started on September 27, 2008
Starting weight 377, Weight in spring of 2010 198, Weight in August 2011? In the 240's.
Still plugging along on this weight loss highway!

I'm only 16 lbs. in, but I've already noticed big changes in my feet. I even had to retire a pair of shoes because I walked right out of them! Also, my summer sandals cut into the tops of my feet last year, and this year I'm able to wear them comfortably.

Looser pants and smaller breasts.

The start of muscle "lines" in my abs, arms, legs. Can only see when flexed -- still a lot of fat tissue hiding it but it is coming...

My shoulders are getting bony. My calves are really muscled and look fantastic in high heels.

And here's a weird one I just noticed recently. My arms fall to my sides properly now-- I always looked like a linebacker before-- my fat arms and fat sides made my arms hang out to the sides, making my body look even wider... now my arms just hang down normally so my shoulders look much narrower.

Also, I have a waist. I can tuck in my shirt and wear a belt whenever I want.

Stairs are soooo much easier. Heck, a lot of things are easier: tying my shoes, doing my toe nails, carrying groceries in from the car.
My feet don't hurt after a long day of walking (ache a little, but don't hurt).
My rings and bracelets fit again!
The dimples on my thighs are less noticable!
On the neg. side, I have some sagging skin, upper arms and low belly mostly. The exact location and degree of sagging seems to change from week to week (on my belly, the arm thing is pretty constant), so I have hope that it won't be too bad when all is said and done.

I have lost 63lbs since Jan 18th 2010
I have noticed:
Smaller belly, boobs actually stick out past my belly now.
double chin is gone
collar bones are starting to show
I have hip bones
cellulite on legs are almost gone
Boobs have shrunk
arms are smaller

I walk 3 miles a day. Stick to a very strict 1200-1400 calorie intake. Low fat, low carb. Dink tons of water.

I am 5'2" and I am 35 years old

When I lie down, I can feel my hip bones. And I can feel this tiny bone in my wrist. Also, I can really see it in my face, like my jawline. It's not as sharp as it could be, but it's much more defined than before.
No binge since 5/10/10

But so has my tummy.
And my arms are a bit smaller.
And my face is sooo much slimmer.

the backs of my thighs are getting muscular and i can feel a muscle there, even when i'm not flexing- and they have lost a couple inches so i'm noticing slightly less chub rub

that's it body-wise so far, but i'll take it.

fitness wise i notice i am a lot more fit and able to not only handle my work-outs but want harder ones!

I've lost 28 pounds and I honestly can't tell too much of a difference, unfortunately. :/

But I have noticed my stomach getting smaller, and I've gone down a pant size!

I've only lost 12 so far (I'm taking the extra slow tortoise route) but my pants don't fit at all. The waists are getting loose, but the really bad part is that my butt must be getting flat. I can grab handfuls of fabric where my butt and leg meet.
