I had hoped to break into the 230s by yesterday's weigh-in, but a new scale and my monthly visitor shot that dream into the dust, and I had to reset my weight at 241.5. It's still a 1.5lb loss for last week, even with the TOM, but my new scale is about 3lbs heavier than the old one, so I had to readjust my starting & current weight. I've still lost 11.5 lbs in 3 weeks, which makes me really happy.
I did a lot of intensive exercise in the last 6 days. 2 days of hiking (one 5-mile, the other 2.5-mile) and one day of 2 hr lap swimming. Last night I was late going to bed, plus I had a little more sugar than I should've had before bed, so I was feeling pretty tired & crummy this morning. But I made myself get up & onto the treadmill for 2 & 2.5 intervals at a 5 incline for about 20 mins. Hopefully I can go a little longer tomorrow after I get a decent night's sleep. Hoping to see below 240 on 5/12!
I've been at this for a month on the 10th, and I'm still going strong!

So ... hello again everyone. I'm new here and I just moved, so I'm finally ready to start. Tomorrow will be my first day. Exciting, exciting. But I have my healthy lunch ready and packed, so bring it.

I'm up a little this morning... 253.6
Its so frustrating. Of course I didn't work out yesterday because of the weather but i should have at least tried to do something inside.
I found some recent pics of me my friend posted on facebook and it was a little bit of a wake up call, I need to be consistant and get this extra poundage off my body.

I'm here. Weighing in at 265.5... On sort of a rollercoaster ride right now... gain some, lose some, gain some, lose some, etc...

Day 1 bites the dust!
I had a really bad day at work today, but I didn't pick up junk food on the way home, which I normally would have done. And I'm not going to binge now, either.

Well, had a doctors visit today, down 9 pounds officially for this month. she thinks I have limited myself too severely, and is telling me to eat at the higher end of my range for at least 3 days a week, as I may need to let my body know it isn't starving, as I have dieted so much in the past.
I'm happy with the way I am eating, so far, and will keep on, but follow her advice and see what happens. I can see doing this for life.

Day 2 kicks the dust. I didn't even have a soda at work, which is one of my biggest vices. I know other days will be very hard, so I am thankful!

I've been up and down 20 pounds over the past year. My exercise has remained consistant and I love to exercise. But my food has been all over the place. No planning, eating out too much and making poor choices doing that... Got real fed up with it and am wholeheartedly back into becoming healthy. I started this round at 265 a little over 2 weeks ago and weighed in today at 259. I know HOW to do this, but now I'm PLANNING it out.

How'd it go?
I'm also aiming for 1500/day...but coming at it from the other angle. My low days were more like 2000 and I needed to shake things up.

Did 1405 cal. Felt like I did well. Had a diet soda for the first time in months- felt like a total cheat. I am not a big soda drinker. (Maybe 1 or 2 a month, or less unless I am on a cruise.)Anyway, I am so off of sweet stuff, it tasted like pure sugar to me and was ice cold and a real treat, albeit somewhat too sweet. However it did stop me from being tempted by the dessert everyone else was eating at the dinner meeting I was at- which was loaded with sugar, white flour and loads of whipping cream. (Okay, I WAS tempted, but didn't give in!)
