Default Dear Scale #$^@$^ You.

Dear Scale,

For reals, I've been good. I went to that stupid party on Saturday and everyone else was drinking their heads off. Did I have anything? Nope. Water.
They had an ice cream bar. Did I have one drop? Nope. I brought a salad! A SALAD. No croutons either.

I've been eating fricking chicken and veggies and whole grains. I've been measuring and counting.

And what do you give me, you evil metal numbercruncher? I gained two pounds? Are you frigging kidding me with this crap?

Seriously, I want to see that number drop below 250. I haven't been below 250 for years now. I'm about to head off to the gym, where I'm going to sweat my butt to TikTok like no one's business.

I'm putting out. I'd like a little loving back. Lord knows it's not coming from anywhere else.

Get on board, dammit,

All best!

Dawn

While I love the humor, I feel the pain too.

How often do you weigh? Is it weekly? I would suggest either weighing monthly or daily. Just give it a try. Those two pounds could be anything. I find weighing daily really lets me know what to expect from day to day with my weight.

Girl, I'm right there with you!!!

TOM is here, and I'm hoping that is the reason that my scale almost went sailing out the window the past few mornings! I had to stop myself from jumping up and down on it in a fit of rage yesterday when I was up 4 pounds!!

I bet by Friday those 2 pounds will be gone if you keep at it! Don't give up and remember to be patient... it will happen so just give it time and then you will be pushing to hit 239 before you know it!

They are evil, I agree completely, but ours is a dysfucntional relationship with those creations of torrment... cause you'll want to hug it when all the work pays off and the numbers go down!

I'm on board with the ladies here. Try the daily weigh in and keep track of your cycle, you'll be suprised the fluctuations you can see!

And for your scales sake, I hope you see lower numbers tomorrow

See, you're demanding respect from your scale.

I'm nearly at the point where I do the ugly crying & plead with mine.

(Oh, BTW, toomuchmoxie, before you go to the gym, remember to brush your teeth with a bottle of Jack -- 'cause when you leave for the night, you ain't comin' back.)

Omgosh, the title made me crack up, and then the post made me laugh (though I sooooo feel the pain!), and the saef just topped it all off. What a great way to start the morning - laughing!

I'm so there with you - up 3.4 from Saturday!!!! And not TOM (although I'm pretty regular, I suppose I could just be having an weird cycle this month and start early?).

I went out on Saturday night but was w/in calories so it shouldn't have had THIS much of an affect.

grrrrr

I hate when that happens. You couldn't have gained 'real weight' - because you were true to your plan. Doesn't sound like you ate 7000 extra calories.

Any time you step on the scale it is only one single moment in time. That number represents many things....food in, food out, exericise, water, hormones, and much more.

It will go down!

Hey all - Just Fyi, the beast and I fight it out on a daily basis. I just want it to get with the program. Seriously though, so freaking frustrating. I will now have Greek yogurt and wait for swagger, so I can kick it to the curb like I would to Mick Jagger.

lol. Moxie, u r too funny. I fight it out with my scale on a daily basis too. I was up 2lbs last night and wanted to break the thing cos I've been so on plan also. But I'm saying the weight gain is from me working on my muscles. . I swear that I left about 2 inches of my arse at the gym today so I better see a loss of a pound or two on that scale tonight when I wake up. Keep ur head up girl and keep sweating it out at the gym.

When I get mad at mine, I turn it on and off like crazy, hoping it will change it's mind.

When mine say what I don't want to see I step on and off over and over AND OVER to wear it down to a better number! (note: usually doesn't work tho)
