Hey - Even my personal trainer and my skinny friends say they vary five pounds within a day.

I tend to hang around a certain number and then drop a couple. Then hang around that number and then drop. It could be salt. It could be your body decided to drive you a little wacko for a bit, just cuz.

Just keep drinking water and doing whatever your plan is and give it a couple days!

Urghh I fel your pain. I was announcing on here how I was at 229lbs from 231, only for the next day to be up to 233... and it's stuck even though I didnt overindulge or anything.
it's disheartening isn't it? But it all comes off one day, so stick in there

There are plenty of reasons for a fluctuation in weight: sodium intake, hormonal changes, over/increase in exercising, etc.

Basically, try not to get too hung up on daily scale changes. Focus on the overall trend.

Even though I weigh daily, I only officially count a weekly weigh-in, and I tend to look at my average loss for the month to see the trend downwards.

If you haven't done anything to actually cause the gain (like overeating in the past week) then just relax and keep doing what you're doing. Sooner or later the scale will catch up.

water, water, water.

And hang in there - I find that this sort of "fake" weight comes off as quickly as it goes on.
