It's April 1st and time for a weight update in the 2010 weight loss challenge sticky.

Post here if you want to brag or lament. I want to lament!! 2.4 pounds for the whole darn month!! But on the plus side, I am so due for a whoosh, so I hope it's an inflated weight which will make April great!

Thanks for the reminder!

I've been lax about giving the monthly totals. Its such a PITA to page through all of them and enter them into a spreedsheet for tabulation . I will do it soon to give us an update on where we stand right now, but the bigger (or perhaps smaller since we are talking about weight loss!) goal is to get a final year end tally.

I scrolled through the thread a few days ago and was dissapointed to see so many start and not keep up. I am hoping Eliana's thread will remind those that may have forgotten. We all get caught up in daily weights, weekly weights, but taking a step back to look at the monthly and even annual trend gives it so much perspective.

I was frustrated most of March because I thought that I wasn't accomplishing much, but when I look at the monthly weigh-in, I lost 8lbs! Thats exactly my monthly goal! I'm feeling pretty groovy about that!

Matt, it's definitely more important that we get the YEARLY tally. Don't sweat the in between stuff. I do look forward to updates though.

I had a big whoosh overnight so counting from March 1 through April 1, down 9.6!!!! (not changing my ticker yet though, I want to see if this sticks first because I hate playing catch up with my ticker weight)

In Jan and Feb, I lost 5 lbs each month, so this was almost double that, even with being sick and unable to exercise for more than half the month. But I was staying on plan with food and using my Gowear Fit - even when I couldn't do more formal exercise, I've been trying to at least get up and walk around more to try to hit my calorie burn target.

I love the 2010 challenge because it's the first time I've looked at my numbers in month intervals... When on plan, I'm pretty consistent and lose around 8 pounds per month, so that helps me know what to expect from myself.

I lost 8.0 in March bringing my total to 23.6 so far this year.

I noticed loads of people hadn't updated when I looked the other day and was sad, so I hope this post resurrects some people.
I'm really happy to report a 10lb loss in March, way better than I expected. My goal for myself is to lose 1.5lbs per week so approx 6lbs and month, and so far this year I've smashed that so I'm ecstatic.

I gained + 5.2 Lbs. due to family member Illness and I ate instead of exercised. But things are better now so hope to do better with calorie counting and exercise. Plus it's been warming up outside. Time to get back into bike riding.

I went and updated... that I'm not updating. lol! If I weigh myself ONCE I'm going to be right back to where I start with my scale obsession. So far I'm staying on plan, getting in exercise every single day. We'll see what May 1 holds for me!

I updated this morning....I've lost 22 pounds since January 1st. I am very happy about that.

January/- 10
February/ - 8
March/ - 4

I am really pleased because I've been away from home almost four weeks of the last three months. Plus - I was sick with the flu for a long while too.

cfmama- I hear you on the scale thing!

vickilou - I am glad things are better for you.

lovingme - kudo's - you are doing great!

timetolose - you CAN do it- I just know it!

justsharing - wonderful progress...carry on

maintained a 5ish pound loss for the 12 days that I participated.
I can't wait to see next months results. I'm determined right now. I want to lose/maintain at least 10lbs this month. I still weigh a ton and I think it's a reasonable goal for myself
If I fail, I'm not going to be disappointed, I'm going to be proud that I kept going anyways
