So my darling husband has been NOTHING but supportive over the last 18 months. He's talking me down off the ice cream ledge at midnight, thrown the chips in the garbage, bought me tons of fruits and veggies.
He's 230 5 foot 11 and NOT happy with his body. He wants to get down to 190 pounds and he does not care really how long it takes for him to get there. He's active, eats VERY well at home (because I buy and cook for him) but portion size and WORK EATING is bad bad bad for him.
He finally... asked me for help. I've offered a bunch of times to help plan his food etc but he never wanted me to. Now he does
So I helped him figure out how many calories to start with (2100) and how to pair proteins with fruits etc etc. I got him started on Livestrong.com (as an aside... I think I'm going to switch to them from fitday... WAY MORE user friendly!) and he's had his breakfast, snack and lunch for today according to plan. He's commenting that it feels like he's always eating and he's actually full!
So... yah. I'm excited for him. He can't do the scale every day so we're commiting to a ONE MONTH ON PLAN and ONE MONTH OFF THE SCALE challenge. That will be hard for me but I can do anything right?
Wish him luck!
