Default Dear 100 lb. Club

Dear 100 lb. Club,

Did you notice my ticker? That’s right I have less than one hundred pounds to lose. I have lost thirty pounds so far, and for that, I thank you. Sure, it took me over a year, but let’s be honest, I wasn’t always there for you. I would go away for months at a time, yet you always stayed right here for me to return to when the scale was cruel and my bum was flabby.

100 lb. Club, you and I both know I am not ready for Featherweight yet; I still have a long ways to go, but there will come a day when I will have shed this extra baggage and be looking to move on. I will think, I don’t need you, I only have a few more pounds to lose. I will think, look how far I have come, I can eat that chocolate heart. But you will remind me, 100 lb. Club, you will be there to say, ‘everyday is a mission’ and also ‘don’t sweat the pound of chocolates, get back on the horse.’

So, 100 lb. Club, on this day of days, or a little early, ‘cause I am going to be busy tomorrow – exercising*, I say! –

Happy Valentine’s Day!

May you get lots of beautiful flowers and very, very little chocolate!

*.. no not that kind of exercising... well maybe a little of that kind of exercising.....

Congratulations on getting to the point of needing to lose less than 100 lbs! That doesn't mean you're jumping our ship, does it? LOL! You guys are all stuck with me until this weight is gone! And I'm sure I'll still call this home beyond that.

I remember the day I realized that not only did I have less than 100 lbs to lose, but I could no longer afford to lose 100 lbs without being under weight. What a great feeling!

So good for you on a job well down! And stick around.

Well yeah, once home, always home, no?? They don't kick you out because you've reached goal - thank goodness.

knobhdy, this is just wonderful. You just keep at it. Keep working on improving your food/exercise choices - each and every day. Keep on striving for the best you possible. You continue to do that and will chipping away and chipping away at the pounds and before you know it, each and every excess pound on you will be gone - gone.
