Today's ugly, bad, and good

  • Because it works better going from bad to good.

    Ugly:

    I ate a bunch of total crap today. Thank you, ladytime. It was really terrible.

    Bad:

    I went over my calories for the day.

    Good:

    I *only* went about 300 over, which, all things considered, isn't terrible.

    My weekly calorie average still was where it should be.

    I finished my day with a healthy, veggie and whole grain loaded dinner instead of just stopping with my calories lower, but filled with terrible foods.

  • I say good for you - partly for owning your day, flawed though it might be, and partly for the good recovery!

    Good: started working a little more with freeweights; took children to outdoor winter festival; drank plenty of water and overall ate good food. Had appropriate snacks while out. Did healthy grocery shopping.

    Bad: I am not sure if it is exactly bad, but I will put it here anyway. The family wanted to go out for pizza this evening, which I generally eschew. The place we went had white pizza - olive oil, not red sauce; fresh tomatoes; olives; and a thinly sliced meat like prosciutto. Still salty, still high calories, but I ate my two slices and a garden salad. Made the best lemonade I could, enjoyed it, ate within my calorie count.
  • Ugly I had cheetos and nachos today. Not much nutrition in me.

    Bad. The only veggies I had today were a few on a sandwich and no fruit.

    Good: I went to a jr league hockey game and won a free upgraded ticket right on the ice. Resulting in not being able to eat the food I snuck in(right next to the ushers) and eating the nachos but FREE UPGRADE!!!!! really haven't went too much over my calories. OH did i mention I got a FREE UPGRADE on my ticket.
  • Ugly - over all my food consumption seems to be way up!
    Bad - Down slightly on my exercise as well.
    Good - Not a huge weight gain but sure that's to follow if I don't get back on track!
  • Ugly: Had pancakes for breakfast!

    Bad: Used real syrup! and lots of it!

    Good: Only used a small amount of light CBINB instead of real butter and I rode my recumbent bike for 30 minutes after I ate!
  • Ugly: no fruit or veggies with my breakfast
    Bad: we ate the whole Spanish tortilla I made yesterday for lunch today (but only 8 WW points in half, so not a total disaster)
    Good: Went to the gym and loved it!
  • Ugly: I made fresh diced potatoes and onions with breakfast today, and I usually use a drop of olive oil and a tiny pat of butter to brown the whole big batch. Half asleep and cranky, I just threw it all in there and hoped for the best knowing it was probably way too much. I'm sure that's gonna come back and bite me in the butt.

    Bad: The batteries died in our scale a couple days ago, and we have none in the house. I keep forgetting to buy them when I go to the store. As an every morning weigher (it keeps me on track), results could be not so good (although I'm listening to my body and eating healthily).

    Good: I bought a 2X skirt yesterday! Granted, there's elastic involved, but still. Something 2X on my bottom isn't something I could have managed a month ago.
