Best workout song on my mp3 player is...
I need some new tunes to keep me going. Anybody got something that just rocks? Stole two from the youngest daughter's collection that pump me up even though they're really not what I normally listen to. One is Disturbia or Suburbia. Can't remember which but I usually say the wrong one and daughter finds that hysterical. The other one is Battlefield by Jordan Sparks. Sticking with some of my best - Shambala, Peace Train for cool down, Sweet Caroline, lots of Matchbox 20 and Nickleback. But I need some new stuff. Any ideas?

You should check out Lady Gaga. She is CRAZY, but her music is fun to work out to. I have "Poker Face" on a couple of my training playlists. I also find that Britney is pretty good for working out, though she's not my favorite in terms of actual listening. "Womanizer" leaps to mind. My personal favorite 'pump it up' song is Bif Naked's "I Love Myself Today". It's pretty old, but it's an empowerment song with a great beat that totally gets me moving.

Black Eyed Peas are one of my faves for workout. "I gotta feelin'" is my favorite now, but they have a lot of up-beat tempos to keep you moving. Lady GaGa is also a decent paced tempo.

Okay sounds weird but my faves are a real mixed bag: Sara Evans "Suds in the Bucket" - perfect running song (shows how slow I run!); Beyonce "Single Ladies"; Stevie Wonder "Do I Do"; Pink "So What" and for really hard days: Dixie Chicks "I'm Not Ready to Make Nice"!

The Killers: "Somebody Told Me" ("that you had a boyfriend, who looked like a girlfriend, that I had in February of last year," as the song goes)
Lady Gaga: "Po-po-po-po-po-Pokerface, po-po-Pokerface"
Rihanna: "Disturbia" (Don't feel bad for saying "Suburbia." I thought she was saying, "Start Me Up," & thinking why was she quoting the Stones?)
Can't recall singer's name, but it's a blonde from the U.K., I believe: "Unwritten" because it's an ode to undertaking great changes.
For cooldown:
Jay Z and Alicia Keys, "New York," but since I live in NY, it's probably one big annoying bragging song if you live elsewhere. The line "There's nothing you can't do" makes me feel very, very good after a hard workout.
Ne-Yo, "Miss Independent." Because I bought an apartment this past summer & I feel like he's giving me my propers for trying to be a particular kind of woman.
TLC, "No Scrubs." This I've mentally aimed at the "no fat chicks" guys who have nothing to offer themselves. Also their "Unpretty," to remind myself to keep this whole dieting/workout thing in perspective.

I LOVE walking running to any of the "Ultra trance" dance mixes... 08 and 09 are both great.
Anything by Lady Gaga... or Taylor Swift.

When I work out to music, the song that gets me going every time is "I Run for Life" by Melissa Ethridge. It's a good first song after warmp-up or last song before cool-down. It's very inspiring but not a super fast tempo.

Ditto on the beyonce because I love her music as well especially the up beat tunes. I really dont have my own personal music but the instructors during class usually have mix tapes that include britney, usher, all types of folks and it usually rocks

A song that always gets me going is Feel Good Inc. by The Gorillaz, and as goofy as it is, Sexyback by Justin Timberlake not a fan of his or his music in general, but that song is great for working out.
