I was thinking about starting the medifast diet and I just wanted to know if anyone has had any success with the diet thus far?

That's one of the many diets I've tried in the past, but honestly I couldn't get past the first two days. I couldn't get past the fact that everything looked and tasted awful and that it wasn't real food.

I've been much more successful and HAPPY with counting calories and aiming for healthy foods. Personally I think you're better off learning to eat healthy foods since in reasonable portions that's what you're going to have to do after the weight is gone to keep it off. That isn't to say that there aren't people who have done well on Medifast (there is also a Medifast forum on 3FC you may want to check out too), but I like to eat too much to do it.

I'm on the full fast diet right now with a doctor. So far it is working very well for me and I am finding it easy to stay on. They did a really complete physical on me before letting me start and I am monitored every week. People on the partial fast (typical medifast 5 and 1 plan) get monitored every other week. There is a 6 week transition back onto solid food and then a 3 month plan where you learn to eat healthy.
