Wink Bear with me...

I'm plateauing. BIG time. Two months and like 4 lbs of weight loss...

So I'm here. I'm supporting. I'm sticking to my plan. I'm keeping my spirits up BUT if you don't see my ticker move? It's NOT because I'm gaining... it's because it's NOT FREAKING MOVING!

So there is my PSA for the day

It's really nice to see posts like this, so sorry! I will file it in the back of my mind that it happens and it doesn't mean failure! It means it's just a hump you have to get over. It's your body resetting itself. And I will remember that YOU got over it and kept going!

So thanks for posting this. With my last plateau I threw up my hands and gained 40 lbs!

oh I understand girlie! I finally got to move my ticker this morning after a month and a half of being at a stand still.

I just have to remind myself that I'm more stubborn than my body is!

Oh I'll always come back... and it's only funny till it happens to you! lol!!!!

I know it's my body. I know this is out of my control. I'm doing little things to try and break it and it's not working. So I've lowered my calories slightly, increased workouts and it WILL sort itself out! It has to eventually.

My good friend DC plateaued for like 3 months and didn't give up and neither shall I. I won't be this weight FOREVER eating 1400-1500 calories a day... it's not going to happen. So plod on I will

Being stuck sucks. But you'll be rewarded soon enough with a whoosh.

But what is a PSA???

Hang tough my tough friend. You are waaay tougher than any plateau.

I like your plan. I don't know it it'll help or not - but make sure to drink your water as well.

I also think you're going to have a big ole' woosh.

This stupid lil' plateau doesn't stand a chance.

This 213-ish range? SUCKS. Not like where we started sucks, but I'm pretty darned sick of it, too. I commiserate. I shake my fist at the scale, and at yours, too.

We'll get there.

Phew. Thank you Catherine for commiserating. What IS IT about this freaking 213 number????

Grrrr... I've been crunching numbers for that last bit and I SHOULD be losing close to 2 lbs a week... I'm upping my diligence and hoping for the best!

Try this, because I just did, and it made me feel MUCH better. I went back in my FitDay (or, you know, wherever you keep track) stats to see what I weighed on exactly this date last year, and it was EXACTLY 100 pounds more than I weigh this morning. When things stall, I look for perspective, and wow, does it ever help.

Good for you for sticking it out and not letting the scale sabotage your success thus far! It seems like just (I know to me it seems 'just' but to you it's forever!)a few weeks ago you were posting about breaking into the 220s - maybe in another few weeks you'll be posting about breaking into the 190s! It seems slow going when you're right in the middle of it, but then looking back, the losses do happen eventually, even if the scale does get stuck every so often. You know you are smarter than that scale and if you keep doing what you're doing and what you know is right, eventually your body will fall in line.

true true and true...

I have adjusted my goal weight date as well to reflect what's going on. I'm giving my body EXACTLY two years to release 227 lbs. So if I only lose 1.65 lbs a week from now until next September I'll STILL make goal. Cross fingers!!!
