Default Love, love, love the beach!

Several years ago, I decided that I couldn't live without a trip to the ocean at least once every 3 years. There is really something special about being there.

However, last year after moving to northern Indiana, I found that I can get my ocean fix at Lake Michigan! I had a great walk there today - I live within 1/2 hour of the lake, & it seriously feels like I'm at the ocean - flocks of seagulls & all.... I'm inspired to take some more long walks this week now, which is good news because I've been fighting the lazy bug for a fortnight.

I agree with you. Lake Michigan is a Little Piece of the ocean in the Midwest. Up near Holland, MI there is the prefect beach with 100' dunes you have to climb before getting to the beach but once you get there it is spectacular.
