I remember being absolutely vile as a 14 year old girl. Sounds like you dealt with it pretty well considering. And like has already been said, it was just one candy bar. Hang in there, she will grow out of it.

Sorry you are going through this. I remember 14 being such a hard age for me. I feel your pain since my 8 yo son was sent home yesterday because he flipped over a desk. It's been a trying few weeks and I have not been handling it as well as you. So just know you are doing great!

Ugg.. this is the one of the biggest reasons why we homeschool. It's unbelievable the violence and sex in schools! I also am not a fan of all rules imposed in a school setting.

Lots and lots of

I think you're doing excellent Bonnie... I sure wouldn't worry about one Twix bar. We all have our bad days!

I remember when I was 15 and my very conservative mother told me she was going to take me to a psychiatrist. ha. Things have changed so much I guess we have no freeking idea what these kids face in school. And fifteen is a crazy time for sure. I admire you for being strict and telling her how it is going to be. Once she is supporting herself she can express her creativity! Not that a pink sweater and hoop earrings are a felony. She can break out on the weekends.

I totally feel your "parent of a teenager" pain It's SO tough!

I went for coffee with a friend the other day and I was talking about my teenager problems. She was sympathizing and said she was worried that it was my teenager angst that was "causing" my weight loss and she was worried about me

I told her if I was allowing him to influence my weight, I would likely weigh 400 pounds by now!! Clearly, I do NOT have a history of NOT eating when stressed

For you to stop at one measly Twix bar is awesome! Don't beat yourself up and keep on doing what you've been doing.

Thanks everyone. So she has been back in school for a few days and all is well. she is still mad because I repo her cell phone. For not the fact she didnt follow the rules its because when she got caught she argued with the teacher and the principal. I sure cant wait till she is passed this stage. I still got a 11 year old daughter trailing behind her.
