Default The scary jeans box

I moved to North Carolina from Michigan in 2002. Due to the much warmer weather here and also living in the city instead of the country, I never unpacked the jeans box. That box had 1 pair in every size I'd been during the previous 10 years.

So I'm getting ready for a vacation which will include hiking and camping in the mountains so I want to wear jeans. But NOT looking forward to the try on process to find which pair to take. Got box out of closet yesterday and walked around it for 24 hours before I worked up the nerve to actually put the jeans on my body...

First pair - too big
Next size down - still too big
Next size down - I'm wearing them! Comfortably! Sitting down!

Only one size smaller left in box. I am ridiculously happy right now.

That is wonderful. I have enjoyed shopping in my closet and get a kick out of fitting in items that had gotten much too small.

Oooh! Closet shopping, how exciting!

I too have one pair of capris of every size down to size 4, my lowest one. It's great because I don't want to buy clothes when I am downsizing every 15 days, more or less (I am short, so I come down a size every 7 lbs. or so). I already have my eye on a pair of blue and another gray size 12 that last fit me in my first trimester of pregnancy, 5 years ago*. They'll fit in a week or so.

*That should be depressing, but it really isn't.

Started my journey August 2009.
  • First milestone: Under 180 lbs, reached Sept. 19, 2009
  • Second milestone: No longer obese (under 170 lbs), reached Oct. 17, 2009
  • Third milestone: Half way (164 lbs). November 14, 2009
  • Next milestone: Under 150. ??

Congratulations ! That is truly awesome. Next thing you know, you'll be fitting into the even smaller sizes.
