Default a newbie says hi.
Hi all,

I'm a newbie to the forum and can I firstly say - I am so glad I found it! Who knew there was such a wealth of information and amazing, supportive people around??

I've been lurking around this forum for the past few days reading about everyone's successes and views and I am so inspired. It's so great to see people who have decided to make a great change for themselves.

My story: I started gaining weight when I was around 12. I'm 28 this month and my weight has ballooned. I kind of feel like I was in a fog where I knew it was there, but clearly I was not ready to fix it or even acknowledge how bad it is. Now I'm ready and determined and I've actually admitted to myself - you're an obese person who needs to sort it out! I feel like my brain has just clicked and I will work on this until it's right.

The site won't let me put a ticker up of my weight loss yet, but I need to lose around 60kg (I'm from Australia), which is around 130 pounds. Scrap that - I am GOING to lose 60kg.

So thank you for your inspiring stories and keep working on your goals! You should all remember how inspiring you are and be proud of yourselves - as a newbie I have been blown away at your successes and determination!

Welcome to the board! There is loads of support to be found here!

You can get your ticker when you have been a member 20 and have 20 posts- I think that is when you can get it.
