Default Took the Plunge!

I started working and working out at a gym about two weeks ago. I get a free membership and reduced personal training. I did the jumpstart program they offer, and tonight was my last session. So, I took the plunge and bought 50 (!) sessions with my trainer. I reason that I don't want to buy clothes right now because they will soon be too big, so the money I would spend on clothes I will use to improve my health and fitness. I'm excited to keep going and can't wait to see results!

Yay!! How exciting. I'm in on the clothes buying ban right now too. My next set of clothes won't be purchased till size 16 and I have a few pieces still sitting in my closet for that!
What an awesome way to direct your energy...WTG!

Holy cow.... 50 sessions?! How much did that run you at your gym?? At mine it's a ridiculous amount... like $350 for 15 sessions or something!

I'm envious -- I wish I could afford a trainer! But it's great you found someone you're comfortable with and could give them a try before committing to more sessions.

Thanks everyone! It was pretty pricey, but since I work at the gym I get $30 pt sessions. I thought about it for a week before I did it, and broke down how much I spend on fast food and clothes, and I'll actually come out ahead, since I won't be buying fast food all of the time and not nearly as many pieces of clothing, at least until I reach goal! I invest that money in things I want anyway, so why not invest in something I want that will change my life?

I think it`s great! :-) I agree with everything you say about spending money - just because it`s a large sum at one time does not mean that it can`t be a bargain! If you can afford it, I`d be all for it!

It`ll force you not to quit - as one may do if you buy one session (or small block) at a time. That`ll be twice a week for six month - I`m sure this an make an amazing difference to your body and overall fitness! And after that, you`ll be so used to it that you will probably maintain it on your own?
