Default Have you registered?

Have any of you guys who have kept off 30 or more lbs for a year registered with the national weight control registry?

If not you should! I can't wait to be able to register myself!

I'm in my sixth year of NWCR membership. It was my gift to myself on the first anniversary of me reaching goal. Anyone who's eligible should definitely register! So long as you've lost at least 30 pounds and kept it off for at least a year, you're eligible. You DON'T have to be at your goal weight!

We have a sticky in the Maintainers forum that talks a little bit about the questionnaires: Thin For Life/The National Weight Control Registry

Lottie, thanks for reminding everyone! We here at 3FC are writing the book on maintenance so everyone's input is needed.

Hey! What a timely reminder! I hit 155 last August and even though I am not quite back there, I have maintained >30 lbs. I just signed up.

I have to think about this. It seems like you should be at goal for a year. But by their criteria, I just became eligible July 30. That's fun to realize . I'm ambivalent, because I don't really feel like losing (which is what I was still doing during most of that time) is the same animal as maintaining. A lot of the behavior is the same, but the mental game is a bit different.

I applied a year after I hit goal. Like Meg, it was a gift to myself - something I looked forward to doing on my one year anniversary
