Default Healthy Breakfast Cereal?

What cereal is okay to eat? I am on The Fat Smash Diet but I want some suggestions.

I don't know the rules for Fat Smash, but I like Kashi Go Lean. It only has 1g of fat per serving, 13g protein, 10g fiber.

My favourite cooked cereal for winter is Red River Cereal.

These are the ingredients: Cracked Wheat, Cracked Rye and Flax (Cracked and whole).

I think our nutrition panels are a bit different. I won't include the % daily values as those are fairly useless.

Our Nutrition Facts panel says:
per serving (1/4 cup dry)
Calories: 150

Fat 2.5g

+Trans 0g

Cholesterol 0g

Sodium 4mg

Carbohydrate 28g
Fibre 6g
Sugars 0g

Protein 6g

I dress it up with a teaspoon of brown sugar, 1 Tablespoon chopped Pecans and 1 Tablespoon of dried fruit.

Hmm, I don't know the rules of your diet, but I have found I have a great deal more energy and less cravings with a substantial granola or muesli than with something lower in calories and fat. Flax Plus with pumpkin seeds is amazing with some low fat plain yogurt, and makes me feel the most satisfied and energetic for the longest period of time of anything I have tried. Fiber One was filling, but I always felt like I had to eat in the middle of my workout or right before because I felt tired and hungry too soon after eating it.

I like oatmeal,and it is very fillinghey also have low-carb ,if you are watching carbs. I find w/oatmeal one bowl is enough.But w/cold cereal I over do it.

Don't know the rules for Fat Smash -- but I like Nature's Path Flax Plus Multibran organic. Basically, corn flakes done with bran and I add organic raisins to make my own raisin bran without all the odd coatings the other box cereals put on their raisins.

But yes, Julie's right, I would check out the Fat Smash forum.

I like nature's path "optimum slim" cereal. I usually eat it with fruit. I've tried multiple kashi cereals, and they all taste cardboardy to me. But, personal preference. I also love cream of wheat.

I'm a boring cereal kind of girl... I like oatmeal (made the old fashioned way/not instant because I like to put my own stuff into it) I add some combination of slivered almonds, strawberries, blueberries, raisins, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar free maple syrup (but not all at once) (If it counts as cereal I also LOVE oatmeal & egg white pancakes) I also like Kashi Go Lean Crunch mixed with Yogurt. As far as regular old cold cereal I stick to Cheerios and Cornflakes...only cold cereal I ever really liked growing up and I've decided to stick with it. I add fruit, usually bananas when I have these.

Like everyone else I'm not sure what is 'fat smasher' friendly but those are my cereals

I eat the Fiber One cereal that looks like pine straw I mix it:
1/2 c of it and 1/2 c of special k ( i like the taste).

This way I get a good serving of fiber right off to start the day.

My favorite cereal is Cheerios and it's pretty low cal and low fat. I also like the Kashi cereals which tend to have a little more protein and fiber than cheerios.

Cold cereal never seems very substantial to me though so I add things in like strawberries (or other fruit) and pecans and sometimes I'll put in a scoop of raw oats.

Another vote for Fiber One. It's one of the few cereals that I can eat since cereal can be a trigger food for me. I mix it with yogurt or cottage cheese. Yum.
