I'm a water guzzler both at home and work. I keep a large powerade type bottle at my work station and typically refill it several times a day.

You know you drink enough when you feel SICK (almost literally) of water, haha. My stomach is turning because I just chugged another 1/2 liter.

Lately, I've been drinking about 64 ounces a day. However, I don't push myself to keep drinking or look at the color of my pee or anything like that. If I'm thirsty, I drink. Like most things, I've learned that moderation is key. There is such a thing as too much water. Hard to believe, I know. It's called water poisoning and it involved an imbalance in your electrolytes. I can't remember who, but we have a member her on 3FC who's mother ended up in the hospital for drinking too much water.

It sure is! I'm doing a clinical trial & one of the side effects is excessive thirst. My doctor is encouraging me to drink drink drink. That is why I love these threads. They tickle my funny bone. And 320 is on a hot day where I've broken a sweat & don't drink anything else except milk.

Someone asked about the counting. I have 2 empty juice bottles that I refill from the tap, they are 64 ounces. Then I have 2-3 liter bottles that I also refill, about 32 ounces. (Aquafina is preferred, the opening of their bottles is bigger, and for excessive thirst, there is nothing better than getting water when you want it.) If I have 3 "bottles" of water during the day & 4 of the liter sized during the course of my day, it adds up to 320. Some days are less.

I rinse the bottles out at night with sudsy hot water & vinegar.

This was a good thread, I don't drink enough either. The past several days no water at all, just other beverages. This has motivated me to get the water going today. Thank you.
