Okay, I did it yesterday, and I can do it again today! I won't drink so close to bedtime again, though...I was up twice last night to pee!

Slimdown...32 oz = 1 qt., 4 qt = 1 gal, so 128 oz. = 1 gal.

I made it with a gallon, and a little extra, getting a late start on it today, just poured myself my first dewzer!

Okay...it's around 8:00 p.m., and I just finished my last 32 oz. to reach my gallon. I'm done!

Anyone for tomorrow? I hear if you do something for 21 straight days, it becomes a habit...

I did the full gallon of water and had my usual coffee and diet rite too, so I was as close to a sea creature as i have ever been.

I also weighed myself before bed and when i woke up just to see what the body does with so much water, I lost 5 pounds over night!
Yes, it's water but still fun to see the scale go down.

I'm doing it again, I was not hungry at all yesterday.

Sorry to be the odd woman out but I didn't make my gallon. I'm having some emotional up and downs having to do with finances and sometimes it is hard to focus on drinking water.

I keep trying though.

Just wondering? Does drinking a gallon of water a day help with weight loss? It seems like such a huge amount. I drink a good 64 oz. a day, more or less depending upon the day, and I tend to think that water aids digestion, keeps me from being thirsty which sometimes feels like hunger, and oddly enough keeps the body from retaining water. But a gallon seems like so much.

What are your experiences with drinking so much water? Does it help?

JML - I've found that drinking between three quarts and one gallon of water really does help speed my weight loss. I think it has something to do with the body needing water to run its metabolism to its full potential.

I've read that in addition to the recommended six glasses of water per day, overweight people should drink an extra eight ounces of water for every 10 pounds they are overweight. I am almost 90 pounds overweight so, according to those calculations, I would need to drink 15 glasses of water, or 120 oz. That's only glass and a half away from a full gallon.

I made it just under 1 gallon. I had 3 and a fourth bottles of water. The bottle is 32 oz. and at home I had about half maybe a little more. I was so close. I am trying right now also. I have gotten 1 and a fourth bottles down so far and 3 and half hours of work yet and all night ahead of me.

Well I was able to drink about 110 oz yesterday. I have already drank 84oz today and I have a lot of time on my hands, lol. I should have no problem drinking that much. It helps me when I go to the gym, I drink about 64 oz. in the two hours I'm there.

Good luck ladies.

OK.

I've been aiming for 8 glasses a day, but I could drink a little more. I don't know about a gallon though.
