Default could this really be possible

so yesterday i was very sick .. i did manage last night to finally get in a few calories but i know it was nowhere near my daily amount .. i didn't even track that's just how awful i was feeling .. so this morning i weighed myself and I'm down 6 lbs from yesterday .. is that even possible to lose 6 lbs from one day of not eating?? I'm just hoping its because i upped my calorie intake to 1800 .. although while laying on the cough feeling like i was dying i said to my DH I'll definitely lose weight this week my heart feels like it just went through a good work out .. lol it was beating so fast im assuming from the fever .. but i thought my eyes were deceiving me this morning when the scale read 276 .. 276 are you serious?? i haven't seen those numbers in well over a year .. hopefully I'll stay in the 270s for my WI on Wednesday!!

Do you think you drank enough water? That would be one concern to me is that once you get re-hydrated, there would be a couple of pounds difference. But I wouldn't think that would be the entire 6 pounds... lack of water, I mean.

Let's hope that you have a great big loss for your weigh in!!

Some of it could be dehydration (and if so, those are lbs you want back, really).

Drink extra fluids in the next day or two, and just see what happens. Try not to be too disappointed if some, or even most of it comes back.

Sounds like some of it could be a loss of water... drink up and refuel your body and see what happens.

Under normal cercumstances your weight can fluctuate 2lbs in a day. I am betting on that big of loss be fluid loss (If this loss is in a 24h period)...hopefully you wont be too disappointed if the numbers jump back up after a normal day of fluid intake. Don't worry though....it shouldn't take you too long to get there for real!!
