Crawling Back

  • So some of you may or may not have noticed I have been MIA the last two weeks. My family went out of the country for a couple of weeks and I had to step in and run the family buisness untill they returned. That meant 60 hours a week for two weeks. I am used to being home most days. I am studying from home and I work casual part time for Dad in the office when he needs me.

Two days in I had compleetly abandoned my workout routine. I was out of the house by 6:30am and not home untill after 6pm everyday. After supper and the kids homework and my own schoolwork I was asleep by 10pm. The week went by like a blur of drive-throughs and bad coffee.

Today was my last day and I couldn't wait to jump back into things as soon as possible. I didn't loose anything in the last two weeks but didn't gain either. I feel slightly toxic from the less than clean food choices and I ache for some exercise. I'm soooo glad to be back.
  • Woo-hoo for not gaining! And for being ready to get back on track. You can do it!
  • Hey, welcome back Tracey! Kudos to stepping up to the plate when your family needed you to do so and NOT knocking your plan clean out of the ball park. And you miss your exercise? WOW --- that is pretty cool !

Glad to have you back at the board and I think you did a darn good job under combat conditions!

  • Welcome Back!!
  • Thanks guys. Being in those scircumstances and having such a hard time being onplan made me realize how bad I want this and how much I don't want to put this off any more. When I am done of school I will have to go and get a job and wont have the luxury of being home all the time to have my treadmill and my OP food easily accessable to me. I wont have to be quite as busy as I was this last week trying to replace both my father and sister who run a large buisness together. But none the less it will be more difficult.

I think if I have more time OP under my belt and have a signifigant loss I will be better equipt to deal with it and plan for it. (This time it was kind of last minute and I was not prepared.)

Anyway it was great to come crawling back to you all.
  • I'm glad you're back too! Sounds like a tough couple of weeks.

Don't worry about being out of your environment when you get a regular job. I have myself a hefty sized insulated lunch bag and I load it up with all my "stuff" from home. You plan ahead and devise yourself a nice plan and you most certainly CAN make healthy eating happen - where ever you may be. Routine is good. You'll see.

Oh and no need to crawl back. You did fabulous with those 2 weeks by not gaining. No need to crawl back even if you gained.
  • Welcome back! I would say that is a huge NSV not to have gained over the two weeks!
  • That sounds like it seriously sucked. BUT it's a huge tribute to your attitude that you maintained and didn't gain! Because it would have been seriously easy to throw ALL caution to the wind and use it as an excuse to binge and you didn't!!!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!

Now saddle up that horse and let's go for a ride Riding into the weightloss sunset!
  • So glad you are back! Not gaining through such a stressful time is great!
