  • I have been up and down, stuck in a rut, lose 10 gain 12, for months now. I thought I would NEVER get my head on straight again. After losing 64 pounds, it was astonishing to me how I could get so off track and mess around regaining and losing for months.

I *think* I finally got a grip. I had regained 23 pounds and was at my wits end so I finally decided to just write down EVERYTHING I was eating on my blog, day in and day out, as well as the exercise I did. After 2 weeks of this, I finally got myself back into the habit of eating right and exercising. Having to publicly confess a binge is no fun, and it made me think twice about eating garbage. And it's funny how after a few days off sugar, I feel so much better and things get easier.

So in 2 weeks I am back down 9 pounds. I have 14 more to lose to get back to my low weight of 214, but I AM going to do it. I missed being healthy and in control. It was and still is a day-by-day battle but I am determined to get there.
  • Lyn that's awesome! I love your blog and I'm so happy that you seem to have turned a corner.

I'm hanging on by the skin of my teeth with school - but it's only a few more weeks then I'll be on my internship and hopefully back to my normal posting around these parts!
  • Congratulations! It is The Hardest Thing to retrieve control after a serious bouncing attack, I know! Believe me. Sometimes it's just as simple as writing it down, like you did, that can help it click.

Good luck for the next half of the journey!
  • That is so awesome that you CAUGHT it and got BACK on track. I am VERY proud of you
  • Lyn, I'm so glad to hear that you found your way back!
  • Lyn,

It is great that you are back on track. Your blog and postings here have been a big encouragement to me. Way to go!
  • Oh Lyn, I'm so happy for you. I know just how "relieved" you must be feeling. I think these things are going to happen from time to time throughout our years. You did the "right" thing by "catching" it before it got TOTALLY out of hand and by implementing what you know for sure works. I think this is essential and something we MUST always be on the look out for. ALWAYS. We don't have to gain back the weight. We don't have to gain back the weight. Statistics aside, WE DON'T HAVE TO gain back the weight.

Btw, isn't that sugar just amazingly evil?
  • Congrats for getting back on track! We all veer off the road at one point or another, so we're with you!
  • Awesome girlie!!! It is very hard to catch yourself and then continue on *hugs*

    (I love your blog, btw)
  • Great Job Lyn!!!!
  • Being in control feels good, doesn't it?
  • Good for you! Good for you! Good for you!!! What a hard thing to do ~ and you DID IT!!!! Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Way to Go!
  • Thanks you guys! It does feel SO GOOD to be in control again. I am just going to keep working through it, a day at a time.
  • Congrats to getting back on track! I know how hard that can be.
