Recipe resources??

I have a three-week-old baby and a two-year-old and am in need of resources for QUICK healthy meals. Does anyone have any great books or websites they recommend? If we eat pasta for one more meal, I fear my family will leave me. :)

Thanks!

hiya chris! you had your baby! congratulations!!! i was wondering how you're doing. as luck has it, i've been hard at work figuring out the least time- and labor- intensive way to get food on the table. i'd be happy to help you out - have you heard of sous vide?

I cant afford to buy cookbooks so I look online. Just google quick meal recipes or something similar, and a whole bunch of recipes will come up. Hope this helps some.

I have been using allrecipes.com for ideas. But, I recently went to Oxygen magazine's (my favorite magazine) online site and they had great simple recipes. The recipes were simple enough that even my husband jumped in and used the ones that I printed out. Their website is oxygenmag.com. The great thing was that the recipes I found, did not call for anything that I would not normally purchase. The best part - with the exception of one - we have loved every meal we have made - the exception rated just an "okay" rating. Good luck!

http://blog.fatfreevegan.com is my absolute favorite place to look for recipes, she has awesome recipes, many very quick.

safeway.com, cookinglight.com, prevention.com, tasteofhome.com are just a few that I like.

recipezaar.com has a million recipes and you can search by health stats, also hungry girl has an e-newsletter with really fun and typically quick healthy meals.

I spend a bit of time looking up recipes on www.healthyfood.co.nz. Good recipes, and they've got a section called the 5pm panic, which is made up of recipes with minimal ingredients and preparation and cooking time.

Another good site is www.foodinaminute.co.nz. The food in a minute site is a little too reliant on prepackaged foods, and its major sponsor is a food producer, so it does push their products a bit. Having said that, all the recipes are quick preparation and mostly quick cooking.

thanks for all your ideas!

Kuhljeanie-- I had the baby-- another girl-- your turn! I have never heard of sous vide. I will have to do a little reading. I have started reading the Beck book again and hope to have a few minutes to read up and respond to the thread. See you there!
