I beat a craving! Ha Ha Ha-Ha Ha!

  • After lunch, I was really desperate for something sweet. I know it's just a learned behaviour but it was becoming a real craving.

    I log my food in DietPower, which counts calories and also nutrients, giving a 'mark' for how healthy or otherwise your day's food is.

    I've already logged in this evening's meal, and that only gives me 155 cals to play with, plus I had a really good nutrition mark I don't want to spoil.

    I spent so long going thru the dictionaries trying to find something sweet, 155 cals, not non-nutritious ----- that I suddenly discovered the craving had slunk away somewhere. woohoo!

  • Fantastic! I read somewhere that if you can wait it out 20 minutes most cravings disappear...especially with a little distraction. Now build on this by repeating your strategy the next time!
