Giving calorie shifting a try...
My weight loss is starting to slow down and I'm getting BORED with my same old meal plan every single day. It's time to shake things up a wee bit. I've always been interested in calorie shifting so I think it's time!
Now... never having done this before... help! If I understand correctly I take my regular daily intake (1800) and times that by seven for the days of the week. So 12600 calories in a week... then have high/low and medium days in your week. So I was thinking... Day 1: 1900 Day 2: 1500 Day 3: 2100 Day 4: 1600 Day 5: 2000 Day 6: 1500 Day 7: 2000 Does that sound about right? |
Looks good to me but I've only read a little bit about calorie shifting. I sort of do natural calorie shifting because somedays I'm just not so hungry so I eat less and somedays I eat more.
|
Yep. You've got the right idea. When calorie shifting, I also plan my high days around special events. I think you're going to see some really great losses in the near future.
|
I may have to try this sometime. I think that could be good.
|
I sort of do this unintentionally. I try to have a daily average of 1750 over a week's time, and the last two weeks it seems to work out this way.
|
Hey...Im interested in seeing if this works for you. Be sure to let us know how this goes.....and Good luck!

that looks perfect. I aline my highest day with Saturday which is the day we soemtimes go out to eat or to friends house. it sure releaves alot of stress.
|
I'll let you ladies know how it's going (obviously.)
Today was my 1900 day and tomorrow it's 1500. I think my lower cal days will automatically mean less carbs judging from my menu for tomorrow. |
Looks like a more natural way of eating. I'll also be watching to see your progress. I like the idea. May be something I will try in the future.
