They were BAD for me for the first few weeks. I got through them by spending HOURS AND HOURS on here... reading success stories, looking at progress pictures, posting for help. I chewed a LOT of gum, drank a LOT of water and talked and talked through my feelings with my husband and my sister.

Good job fighting them tonight! It gets easier

Yeah they do suck...I had one yesterday and it got the best of me but I was under on my calories and I most likely went over just a little bit. It happens but you can work through it.

I was just on vacation...and allowed myself a little more dessert and sweets than I have been eating. (I didn't gain at all.) Nevertheless, the cravings returned full blast, now I'm steeling myself against them.

I did learn that they really do go away...as long as you stay "clean".

I am an ex-smoker...to me the cravings are the same. The longer it has been...the less they affect you...but never completely go away. You just get better at recognising them and moving through them as time goes by. If you give in...you start over.
Most of the time...I have no cravings...but every once in a while...sometimes I can't even identify a trigger...one can sneek up on you as strong as ever...You always have to be prepared to deal with cravings...but they do lessen in fequency.

Im with you on the cravings. But when you feel that way, think about your true goal, drink a big glass of water, chew some gum, take a walk, find something else to do that you enjoy. You can do it!!!!
