Hi Chicks...yesterday was a good ON PLAN day ...I am grateful. Today I am getting my teeth cleaned and have PT. I'll work on the dinner/silent auction and do some paperwork in my office.
Plans for today:
pt and dentist
stretches
meditation
water
log food
PMA
breakfast - egg white scramble with ketchup, pnb toast
lunch - cottage cheese and banana, garlic toast, cucumber
snack - cheese toast, applesauce
dinner - 1 cup turkey and noodles, red pepper strips & lite blue cheese dressing
snack - sf hot cocoa, cinn. toast
Nicolen...so glad you got thru your busy day. I love to watch TV, too - when I just need to relax and veg-out. Good job on the gym!
Hi Rhonda - hope you are doing well!!!
CFmama - 100 days OP is awesome. Go girl go. That's a wonderful accomplishment! A recumbent bike is a type of exercise bike - the main difference is the angle in which you pedal. It a bit more back and forth than totally up and down like on an exercycle. Mine has a comfy back to lean on. The most important thing for his is that it is non-weight baring - so it won't bother my foot.
MJ - a friend said she saw Marley and Me at the movies and LOVED it. MJ - you've inspired me to (maybe) clean out my sock drawer.
Hi Schmoodle, lyn and anyone that stops by.

Good morning, Friends.
CF on your 100th OP day!
The kids are headed back to school today, so life will be getting back to normal. I'm so glad. I need a bit of normalcy in my life.
Today is OP day 6. Feeling good and the scales are smiling.
Hope everyone has a great on-plan day.

Good Morning!
cfmama--CONGRATS on 100 OP days!!!! I love new socks too! Stay warm!
Rhonda--That's a good way to look at it! I should change my starting weight too! Thank you! I will support you too, I will pop over there from time to time too. I want to make sure I don't miss out next time around! I'm w/ you, I have enjoyed having time off, but I do SO much better w/ a schedule! Congrats on 6 days OP!
nicolen--Great job!!!! I agree, a lazy day is a must from time to time!
Beverlyjoy--Thank you! I need to call and make an appt for a cleaning! I keep forgetting to do that! Congrats on a good OP day! Ok, you clean out your sock drawer and I have scheduled time on Friday to clean my office--or at least start. Yep, it's that bad!
I have packed my lunch, gym clothes are in the car, water bottle is 1/2 empty already...so far so good! At the gym tonight I am going to *try* doing some legs/back weights and cardio. Not sure if I am up to it, yet, but I will try. If not, I will just do the cardio on the recumbent bike.
Ok, I should really start sifting through all of this stuff on my desk!
Have a great OP day!

Hi Ladies! I've missed you guys. I left for the holidays and was already and pumped to come back...then I caught pneumonia. That's had me down the last 2 weeks. Slowly but surely climbing back up the hill. It just sucks. I'm so motivated to get moving. I got the 30day shred dvd for xmas, and I want to get outside and walk, and I can't.
Cfmama - :congratulations: on 100 OP days, I got new socks too! Xmas clearance for 50 cents a pair. I love wacky socks.
Bev- Have fun at the dentist, good eating plan, take it easy on the foot
Rhonda - Im glad DS went back to school today too. Time to get back into the routine.
Mj- keep up the good work, I wish I was going to the gym with ya.

FitDay
Hi all. I haven't been around for a long time, but I have been a) sick b) busy. I took a palliative care course which means i missed TOPS for nine weeks. I only gained ONE pound. I was just thrilled. I would like to be able to just post my calorie count and my nutrition report here rather than my entire list of foods, I don't want to have to type them twice LOL. Right now I am eating between 1600 and 1800 calories a day. I know that sounds like a lot, but....I am losing on it. Today it was 1742 and I met/exceeded every single RDA (FItday actually calculates the entire chart for you) except for Vitamin D, but I take it in supplement every day. Will report in tomorrow.

Hi everyone!
It's been a good day. The gym was hard today - I really felt quite sore and I'm pleased that tomorrow's a rest day from the gym. Much quieter at work today - typical. If it gets much quieter they're going to break out the dreaded review lists!
The menu for the day:
B - yoghurt and blueberries
S1 - 4 dried apricots, 8 cashews
S2 - small handful cherries
L - teriyaki chicken, rice, stir fried vegies
S - roasted chickpeas
D - stir fried beef, vegies, on rice
Beverley, hope you went OK with the dentist!
Rhonda, go you with sticking to plan. I find it easier once I'm back in a routine - as much as I love the break, it's a heck of a lot harder to stick to a plan when you're on holiday.
MJ, hope you enjoyed your workout!
JustWanna, sounds like you've had a bad run! Hope you're feeling better now!
Mollymom, good on you for only regaining 1 pound. Hope you're feeling better now!
Anyway, I don't seem to have much to talk about tonight, so I should really do something about dinner. Talk later
Have fun!

Hi Chicks - no cavities...but, a couple of places where older fillings partially fell out. So I need to get those fixed...but, the dentist said there's no hurry. I did lots of exercise yesterday used my recumbent bike. Now I am going to buy a stability ball. I am down three pounds from my huge weight gain ...I am grateful.
Silent Auction Meeting
Dr's apptment
breakfast - egg white scramble, toast, grapes, ketchup
lunch - healthy choice clam chowder, red pepper strips
snack - cottage cheese, 1/2 banana
dinner - eggs, pnb toast, applesauce, boca bacon
stretches
meditation
ice/heat
log food
when I think I am 'hungry' and want to just stuff my face - write down what I really want.
PMA
Nicolen - good idea to rest those sore muscles....great plan.
Mollymom - HI..so good to see you again. I am sorry to hear you've been sick. Gaining only one pound is a HUGE accomplishment. Carry on.
Justwanna - pnemonia...Yikes. I am glad you're finally over it. It's great to see you again. Sorry you can't do your new video yet...take care of yourself and it will happen.
Hi MJ - did you get your desk cleaned up. Hope you are feeling good.
Rhonda - six days OP is fantastic - I know it feels great. Keep it going, friend.
Shout out to schmoodle, lyn, cfmama and anyone else that stops by.

Welcome back! No worries on your calorie counts. I still lose on 1600-1800 a day, too. Whatever works for each of us is good.

Schmoodle, CFmama, Lynn2007, everyone - How are you doing?
Today is my OP day #6. I'm so very happy to be back on-plan. My body is slowly purging from all of the sugar and processed foods and I'm feeling better everyday. Now, I need to work on getting my exercise and getting to bed earlier every night. Six hours a night just isn't cutting it anymore. I'm dragging! I start another audit today. I'll be on the phone with an auditor for 8 hours. I love doing this work, but the calls can be exhausting.
Have a great on-plan day.

Good Morning! I bought some yummy grapefruit last night--they are SO good!!!
Randi--I hope you feel better soon! Take care of yourself.
mollymom--Great job! Keep it up!
nicolen--Glad to hear today is a rest day! Although, that sore feeling is kinda nice...let's you know you have been doing something!
Beverlyjoy--3lbs that's great! I used the recumb. bike at the gym last night too! As for my desk...no, unfortunately, some issues came up w/ one of my residents, so maybe today I will get through my desk!
Rhonda--Great job! It feels so good to be on plan, doesn't it? Once you get the exercise and sleep worked out you will feel even better!
Hi to Schmoodle, Lyn, Sara, Ginger, and anyone else who stops by!
I didn't feel up to trying any weights by the time I got to the gym last night. I was actually having some pain (of course, yesterday was my first full day in "real" pants, so that could have had something to do with it too!!!). I think I am going to just do cardio for the next few days and then ease into the weights. My stitches haven't dissolved yet and I don't want to do anything to land myself in the drs office before my follow-up appt!
Have a great OP day everyone!!

Hi Chicks...hope this Wednesday finds you well and OP. Yesterday I stayed with my plan - I am so grateful.
Today is PT and I need to get ready to work tomorrow. Rehearse and put things in the car. I am 'on my own' tomorrow. No helpers available to help me 'schlepp' things in and out of the school. I'll take it easy and slow. Hoping for the best- feeling like it's doable.
breakfast - ff cottage cheese, 1/2 banana, pnb toast
lunch - black beans with ff cheese, salsa, cucumber and lite veggie dip
snack - tangerine, cheese toast
dinner - chicken, brown rice pilaf, green beans
snack - pnb & honey toast, sf cocoa
meditation (done!)
lots of water
log food
stretches and recumbent bike
PMA
MJ - I am so glad you can ease into your workout routine. Yes...don't do anything that will hurt your surgery area.
Rhonda - so glad you've had another op day. That's wonderful.
Shout out to schmoodle, lyn, ginger, mollymom, sara, randy, nicolen and anyone that stops by. Hope you are all doing well.

Hi Friends,
My workdays are still incredibly long and I'm exhausted. I keep remembering Jillian's podcast when she talked about lack of sleep and the impact on your weight. I just hope I can continue to keep losing until things quiet down at work. I've been told that this will happen in the next 2-3 weeks. For now, I'm on-plan and that's a major part of my battle. When time allows, I'll tackle the exercise.
Hope you are having a great on-plan day.

Good Morning everyone! We woke up to LOTS of ice. Yuck. Snow I can handle, ice is another story...luckily by the time I had to leave for work it had warmed up a bit, so the roads were better.
Tonight is a late night at work, but that's ok. I packed an extra snack that I can eat before my late meeting.
Beverlyjoy--Yea for another good day! Take it easy w/ work.
Rhonda--Long work days are icky. I hope you are right and the end is in sight! It will all come together for you!
Have a great OP day everyone!

I'm new to all this forum stuff....
I've never participated in a forum or chat room before, so forgive me if I make an etiquette mistake!
Today is DAY ONE!
Short term goal: We're vacationing at the end of the Month (1/31) so in the next three weeks I would like to round my weight down to the next zero. 260 lbs. Which means I need to lose 3.2 pounds. More would be nice....
B Oatmeal with 2 tsp brown sugar
L Turkey panini and salad
D Cabbage stuffed with kasha (no fat, no meat, whole grain and veg)
Snacks: 1 orange, 1 peach, non fat yogurt
Activity: Looks like it's going to be snow shoveling today!
Additional Goals for today:
Work 7-3
Laundry
Christmas tree down

Patti welcome! This is a great group! Very supportive, helpful, etc. Hope there wasn't too much snow to shovel (although it is good exercise!). Where are you going on vacation?
I have been hoping that my late meeting would be canceled today, but I just received an e-mal confirming it for today, so no such luck! Oh well....
