Smile :D One Year and 70 lbs gone forever

YES! Today's the day i celebrate my one year anniversary of healthy changes! Few days later i joined 3FC
It all started out with my new year resolution , i wanted to give myself the gift of making pace with food! I love to cook
I started cooking less and learned making healthier choices...moving more-that simple really.
I started working out exclusively on my own at home. ( i'm a full time working mom of a 2 year old beautiful daughter, at first was hard but now we exercising together ) I also started to weight myself pretty much every day!
Here i am , a year later , 70 lbs lighter , few pants sizes smaller, and feeling great.(stil wearing xl tops...but my bra size went down from 40DDD TO 38DD) I'm not exactly at my goal weight that i want to be (145 or maybe less) but i am slowly inching my way there. I will not be ashamed of the choices i made sometimes,...i know i could have done so much more...i could have exercise more
More than the weight loss is the way i feel.I feel fabulous. I look better.I have more energy than before!
When i think about a year- a whole year-it seems like such a long time, but in the same time when i read and hear about people's weight loss stories, one year really isn't that long (and is really worth it! )
I have a very long road ahead of me still. But , onestly, seeing i can make it throught an entire year helps me believe that i can get there ( i have tried before so many times and i have failed , but not this time )
My husband was very supportive at home. He never brought ice cream or sweets...at home...at least when i was home...He never mention anything about my weight ever...when we met, 11 yerars ago, i was 120 lbs...

I want to THANK YOU each and every wonderful person here at 3FC for contribuing in their own way.
Thank you for sharing you succes it help me stay motivated!

Congratulations on your progress! 70lbs is awesome!

I agree with you on feeling better. I have only lost 50 lbs but the increase in energy and just feeling better overall is so worth it!

Pat yourself on the back for sticking with it for a whole year. That is a major accomplishment especially when most New Year's resolutions are broken within a few weeks of making them!

You have done what thousands set out every New Year to do but never accomplish!

I'm feeling you on how great the 70 lbs. gone feels...We will knock out these last 30 with no problem!

2009 will go down as the year we achieved our goal! How exciting is that?

Michelle- Congrats!! It much feel so great to know you made a change and stuck with it a whole year! Think about how much healthier and happier you are now compared to a year ago. Pat yourself on the back cause you deserve! Your story was very inspiring, I hope I can tell one similiar next year!

That's so inspiring. 70 pounds is about what I have left to lose, and it would be awesome if I could do it in a year. How long did you work out each day? Doing what?

ufi, like i said , i have tried before and have failed but this time i promise myself i won't let myself fail.
i have tried to work out pretty much every day when i start and this helped me a lot... a lot
we bought a tredmill so i can exercise home since i don't have / find time to go to the gym...when i started on doing 30'' /day on speed 2 i felt good...now i'm running at speed 6 for still 30 min a day but only 4-5 times/week
i also go to our public library and borrow workout dvd since i don't feel like spending a lot on dvd's , i have few that i do pretty much all the time
not too long ago i started weight lifting...let's see how wi'll do
good luck to you too and is all about planning...really

Congratulations!!

What an inspiring and encouraging story. You should be proud of yourself. I keep marveling at how wonderful this forum is. It is the most helpful support group that I have ever had and it is free! Amazing!

Also, your husband deserves a pat on the back for being so helpful.
