Everyone's NSVs make me so happy. Good job on all of us.

I bought size 8 (!!!!!!!!!!!!) jeans and a size small (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) sweater this week. I was shocked, shocked I tell you! I don't care if it's vanity sizing (I won't try size 8 in other denim brands for a month or so, don't want to burst my bubble), there's no way my butt would have fit into that stuff at the beginning of this year

Meredith -- that's so funny, I was able to do that for the first time too! I've been attempting it all semester in my Tuesday class and this past Tuesday was the first time I've been able to do it! Yay us!

Also, I've been going down sizes in the black pants I wear for work. I'm staying in the same brand name and started out at a 20. I went down to an 18, then a 16, then a 14 and today I was just shopping around and figured "What the heck, my 14s are loose, I'll try some 12s" I was like 110% positive that I wouldn't be able to get them past my thighs, but to my surprise, they slid right up, I was able to button AND zip them! I didn't buy them since I had a bit of a muffin top and they were tight in the butt, but I was just amazed I was able to button them at all! Pretty soon, I'll be able to buy a pair! YAY!!

My NSV for today was after ending up in the hospital with heart palpatations (they think it's due to stress... they are gone now) my first response was "what can I eat!" I thought about my beloved dragon roll, I checked the calorie count (about 700 for a roll!!!!!!) and I decided that I would NOT let the stress make me eat... especially since it's that TOM and my weigh in is tomorrow. So I stuck with my plan of 1 T pb and a banana.

I'm proud... but DAMN I really wanted that sushi. I'm going to have to work it into my calories one night this week I think.

I've never been able to cross my legs at all so hearing about you gals who were able to cross them even under a desk/table was cool!

Today my NSV was being able to sit with my feet flat on the ground and lean over in my desk chair (no arms) to touch the floor. It's easier on my right side than my left. I think I'm lopsided!

Ah gotcha - I can do that sitting on my bed but it hurts my left knee on the floor (I just tried it once I understood what it was)

Congrats!

My husband and I took our son to soccer yesterday morning and as I got out of the car my husband said to me "Why don't you buy yourself some new pants? I think you deserve it, you have been working so hard". I was like huh? What? Where the heck did that comment come from?!?!
Then I realized how baggy my jeans really are. YES YES YES!
So instead of buying new pants, when I got home I dug through the closet and found my old *skinny* jeans. I was a size 24 and now I fit into a 20!
Woot woot!

So I had to move my belt in a notch this weekend as my pants would not stay up!!! I was so excited. I know I am probably down a size, but I don't want to go try on pants just yet as I am not exactly sure. I also really can't afford new pants, but figure I will try some on anyways in the next week or two. My birthday is coming up, so maybe I'll ask for a gift certificate to fashion bug so I can get some new pants!!!

This weekend I fit in to a pair of jeans that I haven't worn in over 6 years (since 7th grade). They are the only pair of "skinny jeans" I have lying around and it feels really good to be back in them.

Today I sat beside a box full of individual (aka 500 calories and 14 grams of saturdated fat) packs of chocolate covered almonds. And I didnt buy a pack! (3 bucks each... the kind office folk leave lying around to fundraise for their kids)
I didnt a buy single pack today ! I resisted buying a chocolate candy bar ALL DAY woo wooo

Resisting temptation is always such an inspiring NSV! Congrats!!

My NSV for today is that even though I didn't get up early enough to walk to school this morning, I went for a 36 minute walk this evening. It was a beautiful evening, about 34 degrees so crisp, but not cold. I threw an old sweatshirt that was tight last winter over my t-shirt and had plenty of room - then grabbed the iPod and off I went.

Default Just being here is my NSV

Just showing up is a big start for me. I'm so tired of being miserable in my life due to my weight and lack of personal connections that I've decided to kick myself in the a** and change something. I've joined Weight Watchers, 3FC and a group at my church called Changes that Heal.

I've had a bit of a bummer day and instead of hitting the jar of peanut butter with a big spoon or stopping at Jack in the Box for comfort, I logged on here and also added a journal entry.

Another November NSV, I've logged EVERY bite that has gone in my mouth for almost the entire month.

I weigh in tomorrow so I expect/pray for an actual Scale Victory too but in this, the journey, it's the little changes that count.
