Default Question of the Day 4/02

Do you have a "wierd" or unusual red light food?

My worst red light "food" (if you can call it that) is frosting. I will eat it by the can full. It's ridiculous. I love it though. I will eat it by itself, on nilla wafers, on cake, by the spoon ful... can't have it around!!! I learned that yesterday, I was trying to resist the birthday cake they had for someone at work.. and it just didn't happen.

Hmmm. "Weird"? No. "Red Lights?" Oh, Yeah!

Let's see . . . .

1. CHOCOLATE (any kind)
2. Home-made baked goods (even if it's not a favorite)
3. Fresh baked bread (any flavor)
4. Ice cream

Of course, it doesn't matter if I eat carbs or complex carbs, they all trigger binges for me. I need to eat a certain level of complex carbs to stay within the guidelines my doctor set but it makes it tough later. That's why I'm trying taking Chromium as suggest by a friend. It's supposed to help alleviate the cravings for carbs by leveling your insulin level. We'll see. It's supposed to take up to 6 weeks to actually work consistently.

I am an unbelievable sweet eater.

I love the marshmellow they put on ice cream Not Fluff, although I like that also. We have a Brighams ice cream store and I would go in and buy a pint of this stuff an polish it off. I went thru a period where I did this so often, one of the servers asked me what I did with it.

I too have eaten frosting out of the can.....and love raw cookie dough. Enough, I will be running down to Brighams

Cookies, sourdough fresh from the oven dripping with Earth balance spread, and a cannot keep pb, powdered sugar, and margarine in the house at the same time, otherwise I'll end up making bon-bons... or PB frosting, and eating most, if not all of it...

Default ice cream

Anything sweet is my problem but if there is a container of ice cream in the freezer I keep getting into it until it's gone in a few days. When I buy things like individually wrapped ice cream I do much better. portion control, you know!

I love sweets as much as anyone else but I can't eat that much or I'll start feeling sick. What I really love to eat is cooked potatoes with tons of butter, salt and pepper. I swear I could eat a 10 lbs bag every day. what I'll do is clean them off and put them in the microwave for about 4 minutes.

I'd go for the pot roast too. We don't have roast beef very often because it is extremely pricey here but I'll make sure the whole thing is finished off that night.

Can't think of anything "weird"..though I have been known to eat out of the frosting container myself and raw cookie dough.

Cookies. Any kind. Cookies, cupcakes and cake. Anykind, any flavor. I will eat and eat and eat till I get sick. It's an addiction I must stay away from. I cannot open up a package and eat 2 or 3. Never happens.

Bread, lovely fresh yeast bread of any kind, lathered in butter of course. This is something I avoid like the plague for obvious reasons. The only other thing as tempting for me as bread is pound cake. Again with a light layer of butter on top. Num Num!
