olympics and motivation

I am loving the olympics. It is so inspiring, to see what they are accomplishing. I am Canadian but I have to admit I am cheering for alot of the americans-particularly swimming. The US swim team is amazing and the relay the other night was so amazing to watch. When interviewed about how he caught and passed Alain Bernard- Jason Lesak said 'i was tired of losing'- so simple but so real. And it translates into our weight loss struggles.
On the other hand I watched a profile on Micheal Phelps- while training he spends the majority of his day in the pool and has to eat between 8000-10000 calories/day. And yet he can't break 200 lbs. Now that is the life- I love being in the pool and I love to eat- too bad I have no speed.

Yes, that relay race was just amazing to watch! It's something I don't think I'll ever forget!

I find it motivating in a roundabout way...

Sometimes we can get so caught up with how our bodies look, or what isn't "right" about ourselves that we forget what it is our bodies can do. Watching these athletes perform, well it brings that to mind. It motivates me to work harder to appreciate my body even if I can't do a backflip. My body is a beautiful machine, and it does wonderful things for me everyday.

They have one of the t.v's in my gym showing the Olympics and it sinsipres me to workout harder.

Micheal Phelps is a beast!

Trazey34!! I am so with you! LOL If Michael Phelps came over to do my yard work, I'd be pretty freakin motivated to go outside LOL
