put the www in front - I don't have enough posts to be able to add a link!
  • Hmmm...interesting....Not too suprising, though, except for the coca cola.
  • Well - it kind of puts things into a perspective of sorts. Not much cheese compared to fruit!
  • Balsamic vinegar is more calorie dense than coca cola? That's just hard to believe. Of course it's easier to consume two glasses of coca cola than 1/4 cup of vinegar so it's unlikely you could over consumer the vinegar. I just find it astounding!

A good balsamic vinegar is thick and syrupy, so I could see how that would make it more calorie dense.
  • Good point, fiberlover. It's a real eye opener. I just looked it up in the USDA nutrient database
1 cup of balsamic vinegar is 224 calories
1 cup of distilled vinegar is 43 calories.

At the tablespoon level, which is more comparable to a serving
Balsamic vinegar is 14 calories vs distilled at 3 calories.
So on a practical level, the difference doesn't really matter that much.
