Default Excess Skin!!!

I'm trying to find information on how to tighten up my skin as I lose weight. I have been overweight all of my life and am quite sure there is some that won't want to bounce back. Has anyone heard of any tecniques or foods etc... that deal with this problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there. There really is only one way to keep your skin tight as you lose weight. Tonin. You have to exercise and keep toning up your skin. Lots of water and not a rapid weightloss will help too. You don't want to drop 50 lbs in 2 months, your skin will be hanging terribly.

According to my husband, when you lift weights (Even light ones to "tone") and exercise, there is a hormone that is released that helps your skin to tighten. It won't be perfectly tight, as if you never gained weight, but it also won't flap in the breeze. So keep up those exercises, and light weight lifting, and you should be fine!

there was a thread not to long ago that adressed this problem also. it had a statement form Fred "onefatman" that had asked his dermatologist and they said that within 7 years the excess skin will be absorbed back into the body so there is hope yet (atleast most of it) and YES you do need to do the weight thing it will help it had helped me so fat and the gut is the only thing that is flappin in the breese for me!!

Thanks for the info lately. I have been doing weight training so hopefully that will do the trick. I was reading a womans magazine yesterday and came across a tid bit accidentally about it. It said that drinking a glass of skim milk a day helps tighten up loose skin as well. One of the enzymes in it contributes to that. I'll just try both. Hopefully it wont take me 7 years...LOL...Good luck to everyone.
