Default Mother's Day Weight Loss Contest!!!

So many of you have done INCREDIBLE with all the little contests we have been having. I told myself I wasn't going to start another "contest" since I haven't met my goal for the last two, but I was so inspired by all those who DID succeed, that I couldn't help myself but start this Mother's Day Contest!!

As before, just set your own goal for Mother's Day 2008! We can come here periodically and give an update as to how we are doing. Many times when I'm having a bad day or week, I usually find the help and encouragement I need to keep on keeping on when I read these little successes....so, don't refrain from posting your comments weekly or so - even if you "mess up." These little tidbits help us more than you may realize.

So, here's the newest contest - Mother's Day 2008 is exactly 6 weeks and 4 days away. That means we can all be down another 6 lbs (or more, depending on your personal goal and level of intensity)!! That will work for me for sure!

How about it? Anyone else want to join in on the little challenge and see what we can do in the next 6 1/2 weeks!? I look forward to my 3FC friends joining in the fun once again.

Oooh. I'm in. I did meet my Easter goal of 5 pounds and that was the first time I've ever met a goal in one of these challenges! I think I will go for 5 more pounds before Mother's Day!

Thanks for starting the thread!

Oh, definitely!!!

I just started on my 1st 10lbs (well... I'm down 40lbs, but I've been stuck so I'm now doing.... 10lbs x 6... lol) ....

I'm currently down 1.2lbs into my first 10lbs, so can I say I'd like to lose 8.8lbs by Mother's Day???

I am in on this too:

My goals -

plan and journal my food everyday

meditate at least 5 times a week

do movement and stretches 5 times a week

lose 5 pounds (I would really LOVE to lose 6 because it would put me in onederland - but, it's pretty slow going at this point)

Okay, Ritzy. I've also not met my last two goals, but I'm gonna put myself out there again and shoot for 12 pounds. I need to remind myself that one of the reasons I'm doing this is to be healthy for my children. What a wonderful Mother's day gift this would be to both myself and my children.

I'm so in! I'm glad that you started this challenge Ritzy Fritz! Even though I missed reaching my goal for the easter challenge by 1.5 lbs, I loved having the small goal to reach. I'm going to try for 12 lbs this time, but I would really love to lose 14 lbs to reach a 30 lb loss. We will see!

I'm in! I just barely made my goal for the last challenge... but each one this year has helped me stay motivated and I so need that. I'm in for 12 by mother's day.

I am in for this one too
I doubled my Easter goal and was very pleased

Mother's day will be VERY significant this year. We found out that my Mom has lung cancer just today.
ALSO, a Mom crisis is the reason I fell off the wagon the last time, because I wanted to focus all of my attention on helping her get a new home when a tree destroyed her house.

This time, I want to try my VERY HARDEST to focus on her, but also MYSELF at the same time. I need to focus on my health now more than ever, because I'm not going to have her for much longer, and she would want me to be as strong and healthy as I possibly can, as I move on through life without her.

I will set my goal at 6 pounds. 6 in 6...yep, sounds good!

Linda, I'm so sorry to hear this. My Mom's not with us anymore, so I'll dedicate my 12 pounds to your Mom!
