spinach
I've tried it for the first time this weekend... . :carrot: question: do you lose nutrients when you cook it?
I made a stir fry today and I thought... I'll dice up some of these leaves. Man, do they cook down fast! |
I believe that some nutrients may be lost in cooking, but other nutrients in spinach are not available to your body unless it's cooked. So I would incorporate both raw and cooked spinach into your diet.

spinach is my current favorite vegetable obsession. I always cook it but will eat a salad if I am out and about. I get one of those prewashed bags, throw it in a large steam microwave bag. Cook it for 3 minutes. Put a little salt in it, and enjoy. I love it so much and it's so easy.
I know some vegetables are better raw but I honestly like to steam almost all my veggies. I figure with the massive amounts I eat, something is bound to stick. |
