Default A milestone in my journey

In all the years of me trying to change my eating to being healthy and ultimately losing some weight - I never before have been able to get past 4 months. Always in the past - it's at that time I give up, or get "sloppy" with my intention. I am so, so grateful that I have past my 4 month mark. This is "virgin territory" in sane foodland for me. I know that 4 months out of a lifetime isn't alot...but, it is for me.

This time, if I've binged or overate...I've somehow been able to just carry on and keep going.

Thanks to you all for your support.

I hope that I have made some permanent changes in my approach to food. I know I have a long way to go....but, I have a interesting plan that is mostly livable and I, for the first time in a long time, have HOPE for the future and my relationship with food.

I'll never be cured of my want of eating more than I need but I have different tools than before - one especially, meditation.

If tomorrow my craziness with food overtakes me again...I will always be grateful for this time now.

Thanks again, friends. You have been wonderful supporters and 3fc has helped me immensely as a tool, too.

Congrats! 4 months is a long time. I struggled recently too to get over a hump that in the past always seemed to be my downfall (mine was only a mere 4 weeks). I'm happy to be past that, I bet you are too!

Cheers, Ginger

Wow...57 pounds in 4 weeks? Good for you! Soooooo.....it seems to me that after four months (!) when you get 'sloppy' with your intentions you will bounce right back....good for you, beverlyjoy!

Four months and 57 pounds are both amazing achievements! One day I hope to join you in saying that I've made it to the four month mark.

Thanks everyone....I've lost 37 pounds in four months, though. 271 was my highest from many years ago - and never regained all the weight.

I appreciate your support.
