Default My closet is almost empty!

I just have to share this because I'm feeling so great! That's right I'm excited about not having many clothes in my closet. I finally got rid of everything that was too big. I only have a few basics left, but that just means I get to do more shopping!

In the past I've held onto things that were too big telling myself they were good clothes and I knew I would probably not wear them again, but I'd keep them just in case. This time there is no just in case. Some of the clothes are like new so it kills me to get rid of them, but I found someone who needs them more than I do so I'm giving them away. If my new clothes get too tight there will be nowhere to turn. I'll either have to wear my robe to work or worse go naked

We only have a little bit of winter here so I'm going to save my money until the new spring and summer clothes come out. I can't wait!!!!

Robyn - that's great! You may want to develop a relationship with a consignment store if you have one near you. Especially if a lot of your clothes are new. You can bring in those to sell, and buy your new smaller size there as well!
I call it 'renting' clothes, since I can't afford to get a new wardrobe every 20 pounds.

You are doing awesome!!

Congrats!!!
I agree with you on getting rid of the old clothes. I too never used to get rid of the clothes once they were too big but this time I am. I am keeping my largest pair of pants just to have something to look back on and see how far I've come and as a reminder not to go back! All other pants and shirts are going to goodwill.

yay that's so exciting!!!

I'm VERY good friends with my sewing machine LOL, and I'm glad I'm a decent seamstress ~ I've altered about 10 things so far and they fit great! some stuff isn't worth the effort and it's good to pass it along to someone who may need it!

way to go!!
