A poster on here was talking in her blog about "magic numbers", numbers that are very important for whatever reason on your weight loss journey. What are/were yours?
Mine are/were:
225 lbs - the weight I was when we moved here
205 - the lowest I'd been in 4 years
191 - no longer obese
183 - the weight I was when I got married
180 - I'll weigh less than my DH!
164 - the weight I was when I met DH
155 - GOAL!
130 - secret wish goal that is quite possibly very unrealistic (which I won't beat myself up over if I don't get to it.)

Reason: forgot one!
245 (highest weight that I know of!)
209 (because I have been stuck at 213 for so long and I just want to be out of this decade)
199 (onederland, of course)
182.5 (62.5 lb lost, halfway point for my goal)
160 (my high school weight)
153 (when my BMI becomes 'overweight' instead of 'obese')
120 (goal)
110 (achievable for my height, but maybe not realistic for me personally)
252 - my highest weight ever (this was not a good magic number!)
225 - when I had lost the first 10% of my body weight
199 - gotta love ONEderland!
191 - the lowest weight I remember clearly (and it was 10 years ago!)
179 - my BMI will no longer be categorized as obese
150 - my goal weight (which may go up or down when I get closer to it)
232 - highest weight ever, weight when I started WW 1st time around
220 - starting weight for WW this time (my 2nd time)
187 - weight I hovered around for most of high school
165 - weight I got married at (1st time on WW)
162 - WW lifetime membership weight
151 - lowest I ever got on WW the 1st time around
145 - ultimate goal weight
This is kind of cool. My high weight is the same as wisher's. Maybe it's a breaking point for lots of us!
High weight - 252
Current weight - 192
Wedding weight - 172 (anybody seeing a theme here???)
No longer obese - 174
High School weight - 161
Goal weight - 145 - normal BMI.
Never realized in high school that I was almost obese. I was never a thin person, but never thought I was THAT big. Haven't weighed 145 since - I think - about 7th grade. Wondering if the pimples will come back when I get back down there. :-)
Less than 20 pounds to go to "overweight"! Only people at 3FC understand how amazing that is!
255- Highest weight EVER..
240- My weight now
226- What I weighted when I got married
207- What I weighed when I got pregnant with my daughter
199- ONEDERLAND!!! Then I know that I will never see the numeber 2 in my weight adain, atleast not as the first number
180- What I weighed in Highschool
170- What I weighed when I met my husband
150- GOAL
140- What my ultimate goal is but I think that I might look sick if I weigh that.
(we will see how I feel when I get to 150)
310 - highest weight
291 - where i actively started trying to lose weight
275 - when i realized i was actually going to be able to do this
250 - i marked this as 'normal fat'
214 - overweight not obese! (this was a biiig one for me. i cried on the scale)
-----------those i've met so far
210 - 100lbs lost
199 - onederland
178 - normal bmi
165 - goal?
Let's see... my magic numbers are:
381.4 - Highest weight ever, bad bad magic number
299 - Two-derland? Haha, I'm so close!
275 - Around what I weighed when I started high school
2?? - To weigh less than Rob (ex bf and now good friend). He was the one that helped me start this whole thing, and I'm sure there's going to be a little competition between the two of us once I start catching up to him. He started out at a lot less than I did at 296.4 and now weighs 260.6, so he better start getting his butt in gear! Haha.
199 - Onederland
160 - Goal and my dad promised to take me back to Hawaii when this happens. I weighed around 160 when I had moved to Europe, in 5th grade. At the time I was chunky and around 5'5 or 5'6, so hopefully this should be about right for me.
340 - highest
326 - when started Jenny Craig
306 - 10% of highest weight gone
299 - out of the 3's!!
269 - lowest weight in recent history
255 - half way there!!
208 - what I weighed as a high school senior
199 - ONEderland!!
170 - GOAL!!
250 - highest measured weight
199 - onederland, woo!
163.5 - "overweight" bmi instead of "obese"
159 - weighing less than my sister (yes, that's kind of a mean magic number, but she's liked to hold it above my head over the years that she's smaller than me)
135 - "normal" bmi instead of "overweight" and official goal
125 - unofficial possibly unreachable secret goal
This is an interesting thread, it's nice to think about things in terms of milestones instead of only the ever elusive goal weight.
This is an interesting thread, it's nice to think about things in terms of milestones instead of only the ever elusive goal weight.
I was thinking exactly that! It's cool to see what other people are striving for.
My numbers are:
318 - What my old scale read as my starting weight.
314 - What my starting weight should have been (new scale reads 4 pounds lighter).
302 - After struggling for each single pound, the weight has started actually coming off at a pace I'm happy with (3 cheers for racquetball!).
214 - One hundred pounds gone.
200 - Will weight less than DH.
199 - ONEderland baby!
164 - Goal! 150 pounds lost and a 24.9 BMI (squeeeeezing inside normal range).
150-155 - Final goal range. I want some wiggle room so I'm never "overweight" again.
Hmmm, this thread has made me realize that we have many important numbers. Here are a few of mine:
246...starting weight, highest weight ever
222...10% gone for good
199...ONDERLAND....'nuff said!
196...weight when idiot doctor told me I'd only be able to lose another 5-10
pounds and then would plateau PERMANENTLY. She's stupid.
195...half way to goal
165...off all blood pressure meds!
154...current weight
145...goal weight
9......the amount left to lose, unless I decide to lower my goal!
