Default Another Newbie

I am new to the 3FC site and weight loss community. I have 100+ pounds to lose and so far have managed to lose about 20. I would really like to hook up with a buddy to help me along the way. If anyone would like to help me that would be great. So far I have joined a gym and have tried working out at home (I love the Prevention series of videos-I just have trouble committing the time to do them.) I ahve tried using the GI diet but find it very restrictive, although I did lose weight. Thanks for letting me share!

Hi Tracy and welcome to 3FC and the 100 lb club. You are certainly off to a flying start. That's great!!! Keep up the great work. As far as buddies go, we are really all very friendly and supportive of one another here. You have definitely found the right place for support for your weight loss journey! We are all here for the same reason - to regain our health and get to our goal weight. So, since we can all relate so well, you cannot find a better place for support, encouragment, advice, and even tough love, at times. So, as Robin said, join right in, be active on the forum, and you will no doubt find a source of help you didn't know existed!

Tracy. You've found a great group of buddies! The big problem with having just one buddy is that one of you might start struggling at some point and can pull the other off track. With a group of buddies, you know that at least one person will be positive minded, encouraging and on-plan at all times!
